CHAPTER 9: Preparation for AKO part 3

11th December 2022, Sunday, 6:02 am, South Park City, Albert town

After David had told everyone such shocking news some things seem to have changed. Lumina's opinion of him had begun to change. Marko had realized that David is not some stupid boy." Now then let us talk about AKO" David says with a smile on his face. " AKO will send us to the tier 3 world Everest. The world has three continents with many smaller land masses of varying sizes. Everest is 100 times larger than Ethan with each of its main continents being 10 times larger than Ethan. The three continents are named Pandora, Varendos, and Gai.

Gai is the continent where our journey will begin. This continent is home to humans, elves, dwarves, xenos, beastman, and monsters/beasts/animals. The System will send us to the human empire so we have a higher chance of survival. Once we reach Everest, that world operates like a game. Kill creatures to gain exp and level up and we can get classes that will strengthen us. When 90% of the player population has reached tier 3 which is above level 150. That is when the people of Ethan will have full access to the powers they will obtain on Everest. But we will have to face 3 disasters before that.

They are ways of gaining our player powers before the tier 3 requirement has been met. That is by obtaining first-time world achievements. For every first-time world achievement a player gains, the system will award them the option of taking some of their stats or even skills back with them to Ethan." David takes a break to let them digest the information and ask any questions. Everyone seems to fully understand and David continues. " I and Abigail need to be trained. Whether it is magic training or close combat. Every bit of combat ability we can gain will give us a head start against the others." Abigail interrupts David with a question.

" What about the cultivators of this world? Won't they also get stronger if they play AKO?" David smiles and replies. " The cultivators of this world have a very ancient way of thinking. They believe that technology weakens humanity but they won't share the secrets of cultivation with the world. They just want to be the strongest and stay on their thrones. I have seen the future and although they won't join AKO right now. They will eventually notice that people are gaining powers through it and they will also join. Because cultivators are used to manipulating magical energy they will be stronger than normal players that rely on the System's help.

If a cultivator plays the game. They will gain an extra class and additional stats for whatever stage of cultivation they are in. Because Everest has more spirit energy compared to Ethan they can cultivate while playing and get stronger in their real bodies at the same time. Everest is a world that primarily has mana but it also has spirit energy. Lumina and sir Marko please train us to the best of your abilities. because we only have 20 days before the game is released. Unfortunately, my family does not have the money to buy the gaming equipment. Once the game is released I will use my knowledge to gain the money to buy the equipment."

David finishes his words." How long will it take you to gain the necessary funds after the game has been released? I assume that the earlier we join AKO the better it will be for us," Marko asks. " 5 days at max. I will even have enough to buy the gaming helmet for Abigail as well" David says with confidence. " I understand," Marko says and nods his head. Marko then continues. " If we have to train you and achieve the best results in the next 20 days. Training on your world will be too slow, This world Ethan only has spirit energy and the quantity and purity of the energy is low," Marko says in a serious tone. David's eyes glow with excitement.

" Are you saying we will train in your world? The spirit realm," Abigail asks. " Yes, that's right. Originally we would train you here for a month and then we would bring you to our family's territory," Lumina says. " I will be in charge of your magic training and Lumina will train you in hand-to-hand combat. As well as how to wield a weapon properly. Although I am an assassin Lumina is a master of wielding bladed weapons. She is even better than I am at wielding daggers. Do you understand?" Marko says with seriousness. David and Abigail nod. David suddenly remembers something.

" I have to give my family an excuse as to why we will be gone for so many hours. It will take about an hour before we can live," David says in a dejected tone. He doesn't enjoy lying to his family. " That is alright we will wait for your preparations to be done," Marko says. David looks at Abigail and speaks to her. " I'm sorry I brought you to my house without your permission. I'm sure your family must be worried about you," hearing his word Abigail makes an awkward expression. "I don't have a family. I'm an orphan and I grew up in an orphanage. I don't have a place to stay either.

I was kicked out of my apartment because I didn't pay rent," Abigail says in a sad tone. David is surprised because in the novel it was never mentioned if Abigail had a family or not. "Don't worry you can stay with me and my family for as long as you like," David says with a smile on his face. Lumina looks at their interaction and frowns. ' If only she knew how much of a pervert this boy is. Maybe I should warn her?' Lumina thinks to herself. She still believes David is a pervert. She isn't completely wrong though. David and Abigail head back into the house to get things ready.

45 minutes later David and the others leave his house to look for a secluded location. They can't just teleport from his backyard again as David's family would freak out. Lumina and Marko have become invisible so people don't see them. They all eventually arrive in a secluded alley near David's house. Marko takes out a strange device that looks like a compass. " Buzz!" with that sound a portal appears in front of them. " Let us go," Marko says and he gestures for David and Abigail to walk through first. David upon seeing the portal can only think it looks less impressive than the one used to take him away from Earth. Soon they all walk through the portal.

-----SPIRIT REALM, DEMON DOMAIN, THE BLOOD LANDS

In the Arcus werewolves' territory. A majestic mansion can be seen. On one of the mansion's training grounds, a portal suddenly appears. David and Abigail are the first to walk out of the portal. Once they step their feet into the spirit realm both of them can immediately feel the difference. The air around them is completely filled with mana and spirit energy. Every breath they take fills their body with energy and a pleasant sensation. David can feel even more than Abigail. Because he originally came from Earth a world with no magical energy.

His sensitivity to magical energy is higher than most races. With each breath he takes. He can feel the same energy he has been feeling on Ethen. It enters his body but this time there was an additional energy. David could feel the mana and spirit energy in the air as they enter his body. The two energies would pass through his respiratory system, his blood, his organs, and even his muscles. David's breathing begins to quicken. He is having difficulty breathing. Marko and Lumina arrive and the portal closes. " Thud!" with that sound David kneels on the ground. Everyone sees this and they realize something is wrong.

Marko appears beside David and checks his body. " His body is absorbing all the energy around him. He can't handle such an overflow of foreign energy. Marko takes action. He presses his hand on David's chest. After a few seconds, David's breathing returns to normal. " Damn, I thought I was going to suffocate to death," David takes deep breaths. " Strange, I have never seen something like this. This boy is weird," Lumina says in a cold tone. " Your body is attracting the energy around him like a magnet. I have opened your energy channels and veins. It seems your body is not used to mana or spirit energy.

I have never seen something like this. The body of Every creature has an affinity with an element or a type of energy. But yours has none" Marko says in confusion. " Will that prevent me from training or cultivating," David asks with some concern. " I don't think so. Because your body has no affinity. The werewolves' cultivation will work well. Your body will adapt to the cultivation mothed easily" Marko says. Hearing this David sighs in relief. David observes his surrounding. Seeing the area he can tell he is in some sort of mansion. They all are standing on a training field. The field is as large as a soccer stadium.

" Enough with the nonsense, Marko teach them how to use constant flow and I will teach them after you are done," Lumina says and head off in a certain direction where a group of servants were waiting for her. " Now then it is time for your training to start. The first thing I will teach you is energy constant," Marko says and gains the attention of David and Abigail. " Unlike you humans, we Demons cultivate passively. Mistress Alina told me that you have both been turned and can transform into our race. Please transform it will make your training faster" Marko asks. David and Abigail stare at him with blank expressions.

" Sigh! okay I guess I will have to teach you from the beginning," Marko says and approaches them. He places a finger on their chests. Abigail and David feel the energy rush into some place deep in their body. " Focus on that sensation and you will find your other selves. Drag them out to the surface. David and Abigail close their eyes and do as they are told. After a few seconds, Abigail's body begins to emit violet-colored energy. She opens her eyes. Her eyes have changed to a bright yellow and they look reptilian just like Alina's. She moves her body around and she can feel that her physical power has increased and her senses have been heightened.

She turns toward David only for her to see black and blue wisps of energy leave his body. Within David's body, David followed the energy Marko put in his body, and something strange happened he sensed a second heart beating in his body. David's consciousness sinks deep into his body without him doing anything. David sees an orb that pumps like a heart. Within the orb, he can see two shining stars. David can sense that the red star is Jinrō but the other one he does not know what it is. As he focuses on the second black and blue stare it explodes with a flash of light. David opens his eyes and sees that Abigail and Marko are staring at him. " Did it work?" David asks

Marko replies " Yes it worked you are now a werewolf. I don't know why you still have no physical changes, but I'm sure you are a werewolf now. To think that both the leaders of the Arcus werewolves and the Jaryū have found contractors with 100% compatibility." Marko says. David himself was actually surprised when he and Amarok had 100% compatibility. It was something he never expected but it is good news for him. " Now then both of you sit cross-legged," Marko tells them and they follow. They both sit next to each other. Marko places his hand on their backs and pours tiny amounts of mana and spirit energy into their bodies.

" Feel my mana and spirit energy. Look for the same feeling within your bodies" Marko says to them in a calm tone. David and Abigail follow his instructions. After some time they both can sense their own mana and spirit energy. Mana is stored in the heart. while spirit energy is stored in the abdominal area. " Good, now follow my energy. I will circulate it across your bodies, you must try your best to control your energy and make it follow mine. Control a small amount of your energy to get used to the feeling. Use one energy type at a time' Marko continues to instruct them.

David and Abigail do as they are told. Within a few seconds, David gains some control of his energy and he leads his energy to follow Marko's energy. After around 10 minutes Abigail also begins the training. They both make one full circulation with mana and then they switch to spirit energy in the next circulation. After 2 hours of this circulating their energy Marko stops. Abigail and David are covered in sweat. " Okay, that will be enough for now. We will take a 30-minute break and then you guys will go to train with Lumina. You need all the rest you can get. That woman is ruthless" Marko tells them
