John stared at her coldly, "Do my genitals look undeveloped like a child's and as thin as a toothpick?"

Jane's face stiffened, why did this man have to ask this question?

She hesitated, not knowing how to answer.

He smirked sarcastically, "Do you want me to show you right now to prove it?"

She widened her eyes in shock and was about to refuse, but he forcefully pulled her off the couch and yelled, "Get out!"

She didn't even have time to cry out in pain before quickly getting up and walking out.

The streetlights were bright inside Lavender Manor, but the heavy shade of the trees sent chills down her spine, making her nervous.

Coughing, she walked toward the gate of the community, afraid that John might come after her again.

After walking for over a kilometer, she finally called a car to take her back home.

When she arrived, Oliver Ford opened the door for her, and she was surprised, "Why are you still here?"

At noon, she had messaged Oliver Ford, asking him to pick up Jack, who was already asleep by now.

Oliver Ford quickly noticed that Jane's face didn't look good, "Jane, are you feeling okay?"

Jane endured her cough and poured herself a glass of water, smiling casually at Oliver Ford, "Just had some drinks."

Oliver Ford frowned, seeing her struggling to cough, he immediately made a glass of iced lemon tea in the kitchen. Jane took the tea and ran her fingers along the rim of the cup, sincerely praising, "Whoever marries you in the future will be very happy."

Oliver Ford remained silent for a moment before speaking. "I made some millet porridge in the kitchen. Have some."

Jane hadn't eaten anything all night and ended up drinking two bowls of porridge.

It was getting late, and Oliver Ford had to leave. "You didn't tell me you were coming back."

Jane smiled apologetically. "The timing wasn't right. But you know now, don't you? I'm back."

Oliver Ford felt uncomfortable. He did know, but he found out from the CEO Chen's social media post.

"My vacation is over. I'm leaving tomorrow."

Jane looked up and fixed her gaze on him. "Work hard. With your looks, the sky's the limit."

Oliver Ford nodded in acknowledgement. Jane then talked to him about music, and they continued until it was almost dawn before he left.

The next day, Jane dropped off Jack at kindergarten and went to work at Starlight.

She dressed up for the occasion, wearing a white silk shirt with a black skirt and black-and-white mixed high heels. She had on exquisite makeup.

When she arrived at Starlight in her high heels, she caused quite a stir.

Recently, there were rumors within Starlight that Alice Garcia would be the company's future successor, and she had first pick of all the company's resources. But now, the main character had returned.

Jane quietly entered her old office, which was now a makeup table. By chance, Sarah Ford was also there.

In fact, Sarah Ford had known in advance that Jane was coming, thanks to Alice Garcia. Otherwise, she wouldn't have shown up so early in the morning.

"Miss Jane," Sarah Ford greeted her with surprise in her beautiful face. "What are you doing here?"

Jane smiled and looked around the room, pointing to the things inside. "Take your things and move out. This is my office now, and I'll be coming here to work every day."
