"Found it. The Lavender Manor's surveillance shows that Jane was taken away by two men. Their identities are still being investigated..."

"Bang bang bang--" As Brian was speaking, knocking interrupted his report. John glanced up annoyed to see Mark Cooper leaning lazily against the door.

Brian also saw Mark Cooper, his face paled. He had forgotten to close the door when he entered the office, but no one dared to listen in on the president's conversation, let alone abruptly barge in, except for a few people like Mark Cooper.

"You don't have to investigate," John said flatly, dismissing Brian.

As soon as Brian left, Mark Cooper straightened up and approached John with a slightly unpleasant expression. "Who are you investigating for taking Jane away?"

John remained silent, acknowledging Mark Cooper's question.

"Jane is so scheming. It's not surprising that she knows a few thugs who steal chickens and dogs. Why are you making such a big deal out of it?" Mark Cooper's tone was quite ambiguous. He had heard from Vivian West that she and John had encountered Jane in City A, and Jane had ignored her from beginning to end.

John slowly smoked his cigarette, recalling the two scenes where he had seen Jane - the crowded hospital where she was exquisitely made up, and the hotel where she was accompanied by a man, her face pale as if she had indulged too much.

"Why aren't you speaking?" After talking for a while and seeing John's calm face, Mark Cooper became a little impatient. "Didn't you promise me that you wouldn't see her within 20 days?"

"I didn't see her voluntarily. It was just a coincidence." Who knew that he would encounter her while on a business trip with Vivian West?

Mark Cooper narrowed his eyes. "Could it be her trick?" Was she intentionally showing up in front of John to assert her existence?

John frowned impatiently. "She was bleeding last time. I asked you to investigate what illness she had. What did you find out?"

Mark Cooper's eyes flickered. What did Jane's illness have to do with them? He couldn't be bothered to investigate, but John was not easy to fool. "I've been busy these days and forgot about it. I'll check her medical records when I have time."

John nodded. "Let me know if you find out."

Mark Cooper looked at him, feeling a little uncomfortable. "Vivian West is in S City. Isn't it inappropriate for you to investigate Jane's affairs?"

John finished his cigarette, then picked up a file and began reading, ignoring Mark Cooper's irrelevant words.

Mark Cooper was annoyed and tapped the desk with his knuckles. "I hosted a reception for Vivian West tonight. You should come with her. She's now shopping with Aunt John."

John frowned. "You talk too much."

Mark Cooper shrugged. "Isn't it all for you?"

He was completely devoted to John's happiness.

After agreeing, Mark Cooper left.

After Mark Cooper left, John picked up another cigarette in irritation and looked past the smoke at the computer screen where a photo of Jane occupied the entire screen. In the picture, Jane's eyes were glistening with a light smile as she looked at the rippling lake, while Oliver Ford, tall and handsome, gazed at her tenderly.

This woman had left him, but she was still living a happy and colorful life!

"Cough cough..." The office door was gently pushed open, and a graceful figure walked in, coughing slightly from the smoke. "John brother..." Vivian West walked over, her gentle and watery eyes full of concern as she looked at the man who was smoking heavily. "Smoking is bad for your lungs. Please
