The long awaited day has come. We didn't have breakfast, but we gathered in the unit one last time. Lyra, Helen, David, Noah, Minerva, Wendy, Finral and I. Professor Lupine, Klaus, Sheilla, our assistants and stylists, let us go.
Before we left, Lyra suddenly pulled me away from the others. It was just me and Lyra in the corridor. I know her nature and the uniqueness of this girl who doesn't want to see that she has weaknesses. In front of others, Lyra tried to be strong and brave, but behind me, she was very fragile. I let the girl release all her fear and anxiety by holding her in my arms.
The same feeling I felt, the same as that night. A song of serenity, and Lyra fell into a sweet dream, with the cradle of the song I sang.
"Morgan, sing me the 'calm' song again. I'm not calm right now." The girl wailed, burying her face in my chest. Like a very cute little sister, seeing Lyra's adorable behavior. But I'm serious now, Lyra just showed an uncomfortable expression.
I couldn't even make a sound, let alone sing. Even though the girl asked, something was bothering me. Maybe this feeling is the feeling of liking someone. I liked her, but I can't tell the truth.
Someone called me and Lyra, the girl, suddenly let go of my hug. His face became irritated and confused.
The emptiness and strangeness I felt when Lyra just let go of my embrace. The girl turned her face to the figure who had called us.
"I was looking for you, it turns out you're here. Just make out somewhere else."
"What do you care, you idiot!"
It seemed as if the closeness of yesterday had just vanished, Lyra and David were inseparable from the little fights they always had.
"Poor girl, we are on the same level as the other contestants."
Without asking my permission, David casually grabbed Lyra's hand and led the girl with the braided hair away. Lyra struggled and forcibly removed David's hand. Still, there was a sense of reluctance.
"Morgan, I'll see you at the arena later."
I just nodded my head and let the girl go with David. Lyra and David were accompanied by Sheilla and her two stylists. Helen and I were with Professor Lupine and our two stylists. I recognized the woman by the unique dress she was wearing, which matched the pink wig she was wearing.
I remember now that this woman was Clara. She's a stylist, and even though she's from Calista, I'm starting to like this woman's uniqueness, unlike Helen, who's forced to like her stylist, who's cold and stiff as a block of wood.
I followed the other participants out of the training building and towards the airplane hangar that had been set up in the field. My head moved here and there, looking for Lyra, who was not visible at all. I didn't see her at all, and whether I liked it or not, the Magus soldiers led me to the plane that had been prepared to take the participants to the arena.
The plane is large, but not too large, and can hold twelve contestants. The shape of the plane looks like a bird, with wings outstretched and a sharp beak. The plane is a Black Eagle with the emblem of the Kingdom of Andalus.
I sat next to Helen, with several participants I didn't know. But I recognized the curly-haired little girl and an Andalus princess in the same group as me.
I felt a subtle vibration and the plane slowly rose into the air and flew through the sky to the designated place. From behind the round window I could see the expanse of the forest and below, after leaving the capital of Calista, the border between the district and the royal capital.
In two hours we will arrive at the arena. There was tension and no one spoke at all, just me and Helen, we chatted a little, discussing strategy or anything related to the Massacre Arena later. At the moment, we are just being released into the arena, and I must immediately reunite with my friends. They need to be safe and sound.
The team members I didn't recognize at all, they didn't talk much either, they just looked at each other. The door to the plane compartment opened and a woman in a golden yellow coat handed us a small crystal ball.
I wasn't sure if I should swallow this foreign object into my body, but the blonde woman forced me to swallow the crystal ball, saying that this crystal ball was a spirit magic tracker, so that the judges and the head of the games would know the whereabouts of the contestants.
I was forced to swallow this crystal ball, and when it entered my throat and fell in, I felt a strange sensation. The spirit-magic aura in my body seemed to rebel, rejecting foreign objects that had just entered my body. I coughed, holding back the uncomfortable turmoil in my body and the deep burning sensation.
"You need to calm down, Morgan."
Helen stroked my back, I was still coughing. I feel like my body is starting to get better. Several pairs of eyes were watching me, their looks were like those of contempt. It gave me the impression that I was weak and ready to be slaughtered easily in the arena later.
Let it be, they underestimated me now, but I'm sure they won't underestimate me again.
The plane landed slowly on the ground, and the door opened downward. Several Magus soldiers stood in a neat line, swords in their hands. One by one, they were led into a circular building.
From the outside, the building was circular.
I was like a prisoner and was escorted by two Magus soldiers who led me down the hall. It's a very long corridor and I don't know where they're taking me, so I'd better keep quiet. I don't want to show my dislike for them. It was so boring until I was finally free of the two magus soldiers. Clara was waiting at the door.
"Pleasant trip?"
"Not at all," I said the truth and did not exaggerate with the sour face I showed.
Clara laughed and tilted her wig, the woman returned her wig to its original shape. When asked if her beautiful hair wasn't messy, I couldn't help but laugh and nod my head.
Clara is unique, her style and language are unique and funny, I don't hate her at all. I like any habit that is unique and makes me laugh easily, even if I am too cynical and don't laugh easily. But Clara was very different, this woman could make jokes that made the two Magus soldiers that accompanied me laugh. Very different from before.
"You will be fresh and clean when you go on stage and look charming in the arena," Clara said.
The woman winked, of course I was surprised, but my surprise didn't make the woman push me further into the room. What did the woman do after forcing me into this strange room?
She forced me to undress in front of her. I firmly refused, it was enough of an embarrassing incident when I was first taken to the training center building. I became a spectacle for the stylists, appearing naked. The debate was so emotionally draining that in the end I had to take off all my clothes in front of her.
Clara was very pleased, even though she looked tired from fighting with me.
"Don't worry, I won't do anything to make your girl jealous."
I narrowed my eyes, the woman's words were ambiguous to my ears. The two girls are my best friends, Lyra and Helen.
"Oh, don't play dumb. Of course that cute girl with the pigtails is your friend."
The rush of water that soaked my entire body at least hid the red blush on my face. Still, Clara had sharp eyes and kept saying things that made my blush burn even more. There's nothing wrong if I like a girl, the feeling of liking is born, liking the opposite sex. Lyra is my best friend and of course I like her. Like in what sense? And she said that Lyra is my girlfriend. My relationship with Lyra is limited to friendship, even if Lyra has feelings for someone else, of course I will support her.
"Lyra is my best friend, we have been friends for a long time."
"Friendship can grow into feelings of liking. You like her, but you are still unsure about your feelings."
I didn't answer her words, I let Clara rub my body, from my feet, my back and my hands. Even my hair was full of scented soap, which felt strange to my nose. I felt like I was five years old, my mother always bathed me. The way Clara bathed me was like a mother bathing her beloved son. The woman's age is very different from mine, she is already thirty years old.
It is enough for her to find a partner and get married right away. However, Clara always said that she was happy with her career as a stylist and fashion designer. The clothes this woman made were very cool and beautiful, especially when the Hill Valley team wore the clothes she designed. Calista's rich people were very surprised and liked her fashion designs, and my friends and I wore them.
"The other team's stylists are jealous and want me to be their stylist. But you know." Clara half-whispered, as if she didn't want anyone to know her secret. "I like you guys. Sheilla's offer was great, with me being your stylist and not only that. Your face reminds me of my dead brother."
Oh, what a sad fate for Clara. I think his luxurious life at Calista makes him happy, the loss of his only younger brother certainly cannot be replaced, especially with the luxury that Calista offers. Her career as a fashion stylist has at least made her forget some of her grief over the loss of her beloved sister.
