"I knew he never thought of having a child with me, but when I heard it first-hand from him, my world crumbled for my little peanut."
Kendra's POV
"How long was I asleep?" was the first question I had when I saw we had arrived at the old lake house.
Johann was staring at me as if he enjoyed watching me sleep.
"I don't know sleepyhead, I don't take account of your sleeping hours," he irritatingly responded.
I hit him with a weak punch on his arm, "Asshole!"
Then he smiled at me. He went out of the car, opened the door on my side, and said,
"Are you ready to do this?"
I frowned and reacted, "Do what?"
And the next thing I knew, I was in the air, carried into his arms. Afraid of falling, I automatically clang my arms around his neck.
He smiled at me, while I yelled at him, "Goodness! Put me down! I have legs that are functioning well! Put me down now!"
But it seemed he didn't hear any of my calls.
