  Annie

I tiptoed upstairs. I wondered if my mother was still home, waiting for me. Was she planning to beat me more for leaving with Evan?

  "Oh, so you are back?"

I froze as I heard her voice from upstairs. She was standing in front of her room with her hands on her hips. Her lips twisted into a small smile. What was she thinking about?

  "How's your hand?" she asked.

"It's fine," I said quietly. "I am going to my room." I started to walk away.

"Hold it right there!" she said loudly. I stopped in my tracks.

"Whatever. Is that all you did? Or did that boy pop your cherry too?" she chuckled nastily. "No, that can't be. That boy wouldn't touch your ugly mug," she added cruelly.

"STOP IT! Please just leave me alone!" I cried. I can't take this anymore. Why won't she leave me alone?
