Annie
It was like a dream. Even though the date didn't go as planned, I got to know Mike more on the way home.
At first, it made me worried when he pulled over to the side of the road.
"What's going on?" I said and looked around nervously. It was pitch black outside with no other cars around.
"Whoa, don't look so terrified. I am not planning on doing anything bad to you," he smirked.
I giggled. "I didn't think that!"
"Yeah, right. You were totally thinking, oh great. This guy is a creep and about to take advantage of me!" Mike roared with laughter.
The sound of his laugh put me at ease. "That is so not true. Evan said you were a nice guy."
Mike raised an eyebrow. "Oh yeah? What else did he say about me?"
"That you are a dumbass for competing against him."
Mike chuckled again. "Hey Annie, he barks all the time, but he is not a bad guy, you know. I think he does care about you."
