Annie
Gosh, why did I agree to do this again?
I kept wondering as I changed into one of James's shirts.
I knew why James asked me to stay the night. I wasn't stupid. We've been together for six months but hadn't done...well...the deed.
It's not that I didn't want to. We just never had the chance. I didn't have the guts to bring it up, and well, James didn't want to pressure me.
But what about now?
Was tonight the night? My ears burned at the thought. I sat down on the bed, an utterly nervous wreck.
"Annie?"
James coughed loudly beside me when I didn't answer. "Hey, Annie!"
I nearly jumped up, startled. "What?"
"Are you okay? You seem spaced out," James was looking at me with a worried expression.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to space out. I'm just a bit nervous, I guess," I admitted, my voice coming out in a soft whisper.
"About tonight?" James asked gently, scooting closer to me on the bed.
I nodded, not daring to look him in the eye.
