82. Goal of the Month

After breakfast, Karin went to train with Sakura. I mean, Team 8 and Team 14(minus me) will be training together. And I am sure some ANBU will also be watching over her.

Though that will not prevent Orochimaru from kidnapping her if he wanted to.

Thankfully, the seals of the gauntlet are engraved into her body so that even if she is kidnapped, she can be summoned back to the village.

Naruto joined Hinata and Sasuke to train, with Jiraiya also being present.

I did some yoga, warm-up, and went to my study room.

By now, I have mostly stopped intense physical training because of time constraints.

I don't have Naruto's level of stamina.

Anyway, my main focus are now on katana, fuinjutsu, and money.

Speaking of money matters, Land of Waves is now my colony. The daimyo has changed laws according to my wishes, and the train technology that Naruto brought from Land of Snow is being implemented there.

I recently bought 5 refineries in the Land of Fire after getting monopoly on crude oil imports from Land of Water.

Diesel has been found some years back, and someone recently made plastic. So, I think my business can grow bigger and bigger.

The people from Land of Waves that aren't involved in construction of Singapore style housing, luxury hotels and resorts, are now employed as cheap labour for the 'People's Clothes'.

While I still don't have the benefit of raw material in clothing, and the advantage of cheap labour will be gone in some years, I just need to bring the cloth-makers and labourers on a paid vacation to my colony to get them to abandon the pseudo-union and switch to my side.

I have made sure that all my people are earning a fair share of money from the profits. Unlike those leech nobles.

If you continue to get your workers poor, how will they buy your stuff and fill your pocket?

And 12 hours a day, 6 days a week!?

My workers only have to work 6 hours a day, 4 days a week. Not only do they get the same amount of work done as the glorified slaves, they are happier and spend money, which fill my pockets.

Moreover, I can get other unemployed people to work on the 3 days that the other workers aren't there. This way, I get more people under me. It hurts competition amongst the workers, so I can't lower the wages. But, it creates a loyal following.

If even 70-80% of the workers will abandon the jobs if offered better pay, those 20-30% workers loyal to me are a huge amount of resource.

Most of them are illiterate and not much skilled. But, their children will study in my schools and university.

And, they will work for me in the future. Their dream will be to work for Uzumaki conglomerate.

It wouldn't be long before Uzumaki conglomerate will be like Samsung, but bigger and better.

Though, I have to ensure that my workers live a happy life and can actually afford to have children.

Ah. I am quite an evil capitalist.

Anyway, I will go there to take a look at how that drunkard Tazuna is handling things after the Chunin Exams.

I headed towards the underground lab.

Nue has developed quite well. It has become the size of a big summon by absorbing Naruto's chakra. It keeps the barriers of the palace up, especially the dark intent detection due to Dark Release.

While it isn't 'alive' due to not having consciousness and probably soul, it is breathing artificially and its metabolism is maintained.

I sighed as I looked at my future summon still inside the nutrition tank, covered in seals. I don't know why Hiruzen gave it to me, but he certainly isn't sending the manpower and researchers for it.

The biology is good enough. It can shrink and grow in size according to the level of chakra it has, though will probably explode if too much chakra is put into it.

The main problem is 'soul'.

The original document, that is probably an Otsutsuki thing somehow related to Kaguya, is very vague. Perhaps she was trying to develop this summon to fight against Otsutsuki?

Well, she is a braindead idiot.

But I can guess her reasoning for this creature. It is very difficult to detect. It has an intrinsic ability to completely hide its chakra. And because it is not Otsutsuki, those stupid fools wouldn't be able detect it easily.

I guess Jougan is a really special eye huh. It's sad that Burrito is going to have relevance in my world.

From the records, 'ANBU' found it in a remote unspecified place. They then infused Hashirama cells in it for some reason, and it surprisingly adapted to it.

Then, knowing that Hashirama cells can suppress Bijuu chakra, they started working on creating an artificial bijuu that wouldn't go berserk. They assumed that bijuu are violent and berserk by nature.

Well, they found it not long before Itachi killed Danzo, so they didn't even know that it has Dark Release.

Anyway, back at the topic, how does one create a soul?

Forget about pinnacle stuff like creation of all things. How do babies have their own souls?

A baby have not only the physical features of the parents, but also behavioral, even if they have never met each other.

Naruto does have mother-in-law's behaviour here and there. Like Ramen still being his special.

But, the behaviour also evolves according to the surroundings.

Naruto doesn't use 'Dattebayo' anymore.

Brain and soul are very closely connected, and behavior is the direct symptom of these two things.

While analysing the summoning jutsu's seals, I have come to know about various things.

In a normal summoning, the time for the summon is limited. Even though the summons have their own chakra.

It's because they are bound to their land. And they automatically get 'teleported' back to the place they are bound to.

But, if a summon has been with the summoner from his birth, the time limit is much longer. And the summons that are really knowledgeable about their summoning, like the Toad Sages, can remain for as long as they want to where they have been summoned to.

Since I am not bound to any place, and am very compatible with Naruto, we don't have a time limit when we summon each other.

It's not technically teleportation. It's summoning.

Anyway, the 'compatibility' is certainly a soul related thing too.

Since Naruto is compatible to me, I have been feeding Nue his chakra. So that when he awakens, he is very obedient to me.

Though, I think that to awaken it's consciousness, for a soul to form, it will need some form of anchor. Babies do need to be in their mother's womb or egg depending on the species.

The question is, can I actually be it's anchor? For it to develop with me?

I don't even know if this theory is true.

But, I am ready for the experiment.

And instead of me taking the burden, I will have itself take the burden.

By integrating my source reversal seal.

Which isn't complete. I have just thought about it, and this month, I will be working on it.

If it works, it will be revolutionary!
