A former mining town, Middletown has grown leaps and bounds since then, but many spirits haunt the city as the lands had once been occupied by a Native population who had come into conflict with the mining operations. Eventually peace had come and the region was split between the two groups. Many descendants of that original Native population still exist in the mountains. All in all the city sees little change as businesses come and go: locals often resisting change.

After a big storm hits the city: the river floods, causing it to shut down the bridge out of the city and closing down as emergency services struggle to reach those in need.

Overnight the city streets are flooded. Searching for a friend, Jon comes across violent rioters. Spirits haunt the isolated city, sometimes helping, sometimes not. These zombie are not the mindless corpses of popular media.

It was the howling bellow of a creature never before seen by the officers of the man of God. In all the scriptures he's read, all the one's he's seen outside of the known versions of the holy book there was a monster like this, but he's only read vague descriptions. 


Its size was not unlike that of the Leviathan. But he could describe its existence. An evil spirit that enters the body, clinging to the soul and causing the body and mind great illness. A demon that transmuted the soul. Hysteric, schizophrenic dissociations that led to violent outbursts. But he's never heard of it changing the body. Was this why the act of removing the creature was called 'restoration'?
