A former mining town, Middletown has grown leaps and bounds since then, but many spirits haunt the city as the lands had once been occupied by a Native population who had come into conflict with the mining operations. Eventually peace had come and the region was split between the two groups. Many descendants of that original Native population still exist in the mountains. All in all the city sees little change as businesses come and go: locals often resisting change.

After a big storm hits the city: the river floods, causing it to shut down the bridge out of the city and closing down as emergency services struggle to reach those in need.

Overnight the city streets are flooded. Searching for a friend, Jon comes across violent rioters. Spirits haunt the isolated city, sometimes helping, sometimes not. These zombie are not the mindless corpses of popular media.

Passing through the security doors, Paul was able to tuck himself away behind the many machines within the lab itself. The laboratory was sheltered in its own wing. There were numerous rooms for everything from records to diagnostics. Since Westwind was a research hospital it was supplied with more space to aid in teaching, making this wing the largest one on this floor. 


Bo had come to a stop at the first set of rooms. After pushing past the 'secured', double wood doors there would immediately be a room at either side of the armed man. 


Between two of the rooms there was a high probability that Paul had gone into either. Both had enough clutter to hide behind but one was brightly-colored as the desks, machines, and walls were painted a stark white. The other room was an office. Desks, printing machines, counters. It seemed more likely as the colors made the room darker, easier to hide.
