Four hundred thousand dollars

Kevin carried his coffee into the other room, and he was just finishing it when the phone rang again.

This time it was the second man, the nice one.

"You upset my friend, Mr. Kevin. You know, he's difficult to deal with when he's upset."

"I think it would be better if you made the calls from now on."

Kevin said seriously. 

"I don't see—"

The kidnapper immediately retorted. 

"Because that way we can get this handled easily instead of getting all hung up in drama. He mentioned a million dollars. That's out of the question."

Kevin said calmly as he interrupted him. 

"Don't you think she's worth it?"

The kidnapper asked coldly. 

"She's worth any amount,but—"

Kevin started to say but was interrupted by the kidnapper. 

"What does she weigh, Mr. Kevin? Sixty, fifty, somewhere around that?"

The kidnapper finally got annoyed and said solemnly.
