What He Could Change

At the last moment, when the wolf had crashed against him, and Di Tou thought that he was going to die, a soft golden force had rushed out of his forehead and spread throughout his body, softly exerting energy where the wolf's attack landed against him, causing all of the force from the attack to be dispersed.

In the end, the wolf had used all of its energy in its last attack and died before it saw the result, and with force diverted, and no remaining threat, the point receded, resulting in the dead body of the wolf leaning harmlessly across his chest, like a lover leaning into their significant other's chest in a warm embrace. The blood, of course, was the wolf's.

Taking a step back, Di Tou let the wolf's body drop to the ground as he sharply inhaled before turning the side and vomiting. Covering his nose, Di Tou returned to the side of the wolf's body and stood silently for a moment as he stared at the lifeless body, thinking.
