In a way, his claim to 'death' might not be good on an individual and human point of view, but from a Universal point of view, Di Tou's experience was death was quite close to the truth. Or at the very least, the truth of the cultivation world. It was also very similar to the theory of entropy on Earth.
In the end, all things would return to nothing. It would become Chaos, and from Chaos, a new world would be born.
This was a rather dark answer, as it basically said, "There is no world after death. It's the end." With the only light note being that it could be interpreted as reincarnation… just billions of years later in an esoteric way that wasn't possible to link.
Pursing his lips, Di Tou wavered between the two answers for a long time before ultimately going with the answer that expounded upon the Void and the cyclical nature of the Universe.
