Trial by Smithing, Part 2

There was a slight problem with my plan. I couldn't find the necessary ingredient I needed to make the plan work.

"Um," I raised my hand, "is there vampire blood available?" 

While my question confused his two apprentices, Master Yojimbo's face lit up with interest once more. "A purpose, you have for it?" he asked. 

"Vampire blood's a good catalyst for combining two troublesome ingredients," I answered. 

I heard the peanut gallery react in surprise after seeing Master Yojimbo flash me a smile. Possibly the first one they'd seen today. 

"Knowledge of alchemy, you have," he guessed. 

"Experience in one profession will help broaden my understanding of other trades," I repeated the words Divah often told me whenever I complained about learning both alchemy and smithing at the same time. 

Master Yojimbo nodded approvingly before instructing one of his apprentices to give me what I asked for.
