A Night of Many Rainbows, Part 2

"Hold on, Wisdom!" Liara yelled. "Just a little more!"

The she-elf's hands helped keep mine up because with each strike of lightning crashing onto my 'Flame Shield' the weight of Titania's spell pressed against both my arms, forcing me to strain even harder to keep my magic up as if I was lifting a barbell whose weight increased with each attack.

"You can do this, Will!" Zen chimed in.

The yeti had his hands pressed against my back to feed my body some of his own magic, helping to ensure I wouldn't run out of gas for the duration of Titania's spell.

"If you fail"—Draken aimed a finger at the sleeping figures at our feet—"we might make it, but they certainly won't."

"Not helping!" I gasped through gritted teeth.

A third and a fourth lightning bolt struck my 'Flame Shield' in succession, and my legs nearly buckled from the force of their impact. Thankfully, Saga had jumped in with an arm that slid around my waist to keep me steady.
