Surrounded, Part 1

'Awoo~~oo!'

The howl cut through the silence of the crypt.

'Awoo~~oo!"

Then came a third, a fourth, and a fifth howl.

In response, the vampires by the other side of the crypt let loose their shrieks.

'Scree~~eech!'

"Ah, the children of the night," the white-haired youth smiled, his arms spreading wide, "what sweet music they make."

"I said that first," I grumbled.

Couldn't help it. The dude just strolled in and stole my thunder so effortlessly.

"I know," he replied impishly.

"Who…" Nope, despite the goosebumps rising on the skin of my arms, I refused to believe the circumstantial evidence before me, which is why I had to ask, "…who are you?"

"Don't you know?" he countered.

"It couldn't be more obvious," Carmina agreed.

To which my reply was, "It's not possible."
