The End.

*

The room smelled of antiseptics, the sound of the machines beeped at a steady pace, there was no other sound, other than the steady water droplets, one at a time. In the haze and after images that filled her vision, Cyra was occasionally in and out of consciousness.

Sometimes, she would wake up to people talking, sometimes, someone would be crying beside her, another time, someone would be uncomfortably close to her; and just once, when she recognised someone, Liam, she would remember that he held her hand and then felt some wet drops.

When Cyra finally opened her eyes, three days had gone by, and she finally understood what room she was in—a hospital room, The beeps she heard were from the machines attached to her and the consistent dripping was from the drip attached to her arm.
