My eyes shot open as they finally rested on the man I was supposed to marry, the last man I would ever consider if I had a choice, the last man I'd rather die than marry.

My boss. Mr Liam Richards.

"Uh Hell no." I said out loud as I tried to walk away from the alter.

"If you leave now then I would consider this as the Hudson family going back on their word and all investments so far will be withdrawn and charges will be pressed towards the company and your family." Liam said.

I watched as he had this oddly satisfying look on his face as if he'd just won some sort of mind game, I looked back to the crowd behind me and within them I saw Patricia scowling at me, Veronica already in tears but worst of all was the glimmer of hope in my father's eyes.

I took a deep breath turning around, I told myself that this was all for my mother and nothing else, I would do for my father this one last favour with my life.

My Husband's Therapist

Liam walked into his home like something had chased him, ignoring the greetings of his staff, he walked straight to the giant vase at the edge of the stairs and pushed it off its place, causing it to shatter into a million pieces on the floor.

There was not much staff in Liam's house, and there was a good reason for that. Eventually, Jay, the head staff, ran in to discover the vase broken and scattered across the floor. The staff ran into the chaos and encountered an angry Liam in front of them.

"Susan, Gwendal, clean this up now, Jude, hurry and run a bath for him, Prudence, get me a glass of water this instant and his medicine in the emergency cabinet," Jay ordered and at once they all answered and ran to perform the duties they were asked to do.

Liam stood motionless, breathing heavily, and observing the shattered glass on the ground. It strikingly resembled his life at the moment, chaotic and out of control.
