"Laika?" The General asked as he looked up at her when she stood up in the courtroom. He looked and sounded horrified.

I on the other hand was just surprised at how this trial was taking such an unexpected turn.

"Laika what are you doing?" General Kang asked confused as he watched Laika step forward into the open space. The crowd resumed their whispers.

She didn't respond to him as she came to stand in front of the imperial knights.

"Are you telling me that my wife is your witness?" He asked the two imperial knights. "You can't be serious!"

"We're sorry to have kept this from you General." Sir Mikal apologized to him.

"Is this to do with her suspicions that the informant is suspicious?" He asked Laika before letting out a hysterical laugh. "Yes, that must be it." He then turned to the knights. "Don't tell me my wife told you her story, and you believed her!" He asked them incredulously.
