"Does that mean you and the General might end up presenting different cases on the day of the trial?"

"Our investigation and the General's are not the same, if he doesn't find the same leads as us then that's just how it will be. We are under his majesty's orders to find evidence that will justify the imperial order that was requested. We are not obligated to share our findings with him. If he is thorough he will present the same information as us. That is all."

I was surprised, I had thought the imperial knights would share with the General what they had found. Hearing that gave me hope.
