Torch him

The procession consisted of a small group of middle-aged men and women all wearing uniform, white robes at the very front. Behind them, the knights of the crusader's order followed, each donning the same type of plate armor and armed with a ceremonial sword.

'All of this just for show,' Theo thought, gritting his teeth as his eyes danced from the front to the back of the procession.

He didn't see a single-plate armor during the fighting. It would be nothing more but a hindrance in the narrow streets. The visor of the helmet only served to limit one's vision, greatly reducing their awareness of the treacherous terrain of the burning city. And with all its weight slowing the user down, it would be nearly impossible to escape from a fire or enemy counterattack.

All in all, the invaders brought this kind of armor not for the battle, but for this very moment. For when they gathered various potential recruits from the city and had them watch this parade.
