Classmates

Dena was eating with relish in a restaurant after pestering Noah to join her. She promised to make the most of the present and not worry about anything else. ' So what if I die again? '

With all that was described in the book, either she would be resurrected in the past or she would be dead, period. She died once in the world she came from, so she had nothing to lose. The only annoying thing was that Desmond accompanied them and kept going on and on.

"Noah, how did you meet this friend of mine? Which school do you go to? What grade? Where do you live? What's the relationship between you and Edwin? "

Dena was so irritated that she smacked the back of Desmond's head. " Shut up, just eat your food."

She kept telling herself she was a grown-up and mature person here, but it was in vain. She had the itch to beat him up.

" Hey, why are you becoming more and more violent? Brother Noah, please let him have a go with you; otherwise, I would be beaten black and blue from his pent-up frustration."

Noah choked and went into a coughing fit, while Dena was so shocked that she spilt her food all over her clothes.

" Have you lost your mind? What crazy things are you spatting? "

Dena jumped out of her chair and shouted at Desmond Angrily.

' How could I top a man? Even when making love as a woman, I didn't enjoy being at the top! Oh my God, that's another major problem of being in this body. If Noah was my mate, should I do that to him? No…. No….. not a fat chance!'

Desmond looked at their reaction and laughed wholeheartedly.

"Oh my God, I was mad at you for winning our bet, but now I still see you haven't eaten any meat yet."

Noah asked with curiosity. " What bet?"

Desmond replied with a grin. " Whoever is first to score will be our father."

Dena pressed her hand against her forehead. 'It was over; Noah would never speak to her again.'

Noah stared at Edwin's face. That was red as a tomato. He guessed Desmond was talking nonsense. How could he misjudge someone after spending a night together? He was like a turtle, a little poking, and he would go into hiding.

Noah smiled at Edwin. " Sit down; I know he is just joking."

Dena let an exasperated sigh and resumed eating. She was secretly pleased to see Noah believe her and not Desmond.

"Ah! Edwin, what a coincidence! I had no idea you had also been to this place."

A soft and sweet voice was heard above their heads. There was a beautiful girl in designer luxury attire standing beside their table. Dena took a curious look at her. ' Who is she? Is she Edwin's friend or something? This is not fair. Why does each transmigrator have a helpful system? or at least receive the memory of the original person except for me? I am such a pitiful person. What am l supposed to do? Let's act amicably; what if she was an essential or influential character? '

Sydney expected his usual coldness and indifference when Edwin showed her a big smile and said. "Yeah, I'm crazy about steaks."

Sydney was in a daze for half a day. ' What just happened? Who am I? Who is he? Did he reply to her? The cold prince?'

Desmond was thrilled to see his crush. Like other times, he thought Edwin would ignore her, making her feel embarrassed. Then it would be his chance to show her his easygoing and friendly personality and break her predicament. But Edwin beat him on his own game.

Noah looked upon the two dumbfounded faces of Desmond and that girl with doubt.

' What's wrong with them? Isn't it typical for Edwin to respond? He remembered whenever Edwin communicated with him, Desmond or Edwin's mother appeared surprised. Even with Jack, Desmond was mad that he was nice to him. Noah was clever, concluding that Edwin had changed. He should look into it. He was with Edwin to prevent him from going berserk in Wolf form. His job would be more complicated than it seemed if anything were unknown.

"Sydney, let's go; everybody's waiting for us out front."

Another girl marched impatiently towards them but suddenly stopped when she noticed the boys.

' So that's why this bitch sneaked away earlier.'

Amy glared scornfully at her, but she adjusted her expression to shyness and turned to look at the handsome boys.

"Oh, seniors, you're here too. Do you have plans after this? How about joining us for karaoke?"

Amy shamelessly invited them. These two boys were known in middle school for their beautiful appearance and influential families. But they had this aura that gave everyone a sense of being untouchable. In the school, people lined up to win over them, and with her qualifications, she would be completely overshadowed. She discovered that Desmond had a crush on Sydney, so she took the opportunity to get closer to them by becoming her best friend.

She was from a middle-class household. Her parents were office workers with average salaries. She could not afford to attend their private school, but her older brother was an assistant to Starlight Technologies' CEO, who had sponsored that school for years. Her brother had pulled a few strings to get her in at minimal school fees. Unlike her brilliant second brother, who won an Esther Academy scholarship, she was an average intelligent girl. She was very envious of him, but getting accepted at the Academy was no easy task. The process of receiving scholarships was very challenging. Sydney was admitted because she had good credentials and her maternal grandfather influenced the capital. At first, she was upset to be separated from this well-known group. However, she decided she was more apt to go undetected than in the spotlight. She would be finished with her poor background if she offended anyone or made an enemy.
