Dena glanced at these two girls with envy.
' Ah, being so young and so good-looking! In other novels, people transmigrated to become a beautiful girl just like these two and have the best hacker skills to conquer everyone and everything! But Why am I the only one to transmigrate to this kind of novel?
Ah, right, Hacker? Who am I kidding? I've always hated mathematics!
But come on, why a boy? Worse, an alpha werewolf! What sin have I committed to deserve it? And how am I supposed to fight with those powerful wolves and their families? If I were strong or had an iron-willed personality, I would not be a failure and a loser."
Dena lost her appetite after remembering those unpleasant feelings and recollections of her past life.
She looked at these girls again and concluded that it was best not to associate with them. They kept reminding her that she had lived like a worthless bitch before arriving in this world.
She wished for a chance to start over. If she could be so young, not make those mistakes and lead a good life, she would be the luckiest person on the face of the earth. They still have this opportunity, but not her. Her spirit and willpower were crushed completely. She was on top of her life when she had lost everything in the past and never was able to get back on her feet. Her mood fluctuated down. She was enjoying her meal earlier, but now these dark thoughts have emerged. She wished she had put more locks on that box in the back of her mind to prevent her negative memories from coming out. She always had known she had an inferiority complex.
Dena clenched her fists to conceal her unstable feelings and rejected them out of the blue.
"Sorry, there's something else we need to do today."
An awkward silence ensued when she rose from her seat and looked at Noah.
"I'll wait for you out front."
Then she quickly moved away from them.
They were all taken aback.' What was that all about?' Everyone thought of it.
Amy regained her senses and glanced at a boy called Noah. ' Why is it that Edwin only spoke to him? Who is he? '
He was so mediocre that she didn't even know he was there!
Just outside the restaurant, Dena took a deep breath. Her eyes burned, and her hands shook as she recalled her tragic past. She started roaming along the pedestrian walkway. She saw people around her but felt loonier than ever. She had no sense of belonging to this world. If she disappeared now, no one would know or be sad. Dena was immersed in her thoughts when a hand pulled her backwards. She heard shouting and honking, but her mind was only focused on those glowing eyes before her. They were golden with a touch of orange flakes. It reminded her of a flaming fire that would come to life to burst everything around them any minute. Dena sensed the bizarre desire to monopolise these eyes just for herself. She did not know that her eyes also turned green to blazing red. Suddenly, the pain was all over her body, her vision was blurred, and her mind got foggy. The last thing she remembered was that she held onto the person before her with all her might.

Noah came out of the restaurant to find Edwin. He was delayed by one of the girls constantly interrogating him and not letting him leave. He didn't use force for fear of making a bigger mess than it was. He searched every corner for half an hour and never saw Edwin.
He was worried about his disappearance. 'How are we not finding a clue?' Even the surveillance cameras outside the diner couldn't show any sign of Edwin.
'Did something happen to him? He got kidnapped by another organisation?'
The call from his assistant came at the end; they got orders not to look for Edwin.
Noah threw his phone to the ground in a fit of anger. The sound of a shattered mobile phone scared Desmond, who was hiding in the dark corner. He also failed to contact Edwin. If their family had known about this, they would kill him this time. He wasn't superstitious, but He noticed recently that each time the names of Sydney and Amy were mentioned or that he had seen them, he would indeed have been in trouble!
'Edwin, where the hell you go? Lately, you like wandering around, and I have to pay the price.'
He grabbed his hair in frustration. Suddenly, Noah spotted him and strolled toward him.
" Why didn't you stop him from leaving? Obviously, he couldn't stand that girl, so this shouldn't be the first time it's happened! Aren't you supposed to be his friend? How can you know nothing about him?"
Noah scolded him right then and there. He no longer cared for his image. Edwin's disappearance struck fear into his heart, surprisingly.
He wasn't some busybody who would poke his nose into others' business. However, this incident triggered something in him that he couldn't fathom. Someone inside his head constantly yelled at him to track down Edwin immediately. Otherwise, he would regret it. Noah was at a loss for what to do. The emptiness in his heart was enormous. He clenched his fist vigorously until his nails broke his skin, and the blood flowed from his hand.
A guy rushed over with a phone in his hand and told Noah.
"My boss wishes to speak to you about your friend."
Noah stared at him with wariness. He picked up the phone and said it cautiously.
" Are you the one who abducted him?"
A hoarse voice was heard on the other side.
"No, but I can tell you that someone took him when he passed out in the middle of the street."
Afterwards, he was disconnected.
The man gave him a picture and walked out. In the photo, two people were hugging. Noah was shocked to see Edwin and that man together. 'What's this guy doing here? Why?'
His hand shook.
