Chapter 167: Isach: Queen Flynn, Part 2

"What happened at the vote?" I asked.

Queen Flynn made a sour face. "I owe you an apology."

"You think?" Colt grumbled under his breath, and I shot him a dirty look.

"King Draven approached me early this morning and reminded me that siding with vampires was a dereliction of my duty to the royal coven council, and that if I stood by my previous vote, he'd take measures to have the Flynn Coven removed from the council," she explained.

"He can't do that," I said, mind racing through all the rules and traditions of the royal coven council.

"Any coven can call for a vote on any matter at any time," Queen Flynn reminded me with a disappointed shake of her head. "Doesn't mean he'd succeed, but he can try, and if he removes the Flynn Coven from the council, what's to stop him from trying to remove your coven next? Or the Waldron Coven?"

I groaned and rubbed my hands over my face. "He's out of control."
