Chapter 95: Cooperation

"Sylvie?"

Jack's face looked a little strange when he heard this name, but he quickly got himself together and looked at her curiously: "So, cooperation? Aren't you afraid that I'm gonna betray you?"

"I've seen his memories and confirmed that what you said is true," Sylvie said as she knelt down and untied Bucky. "Your strength is good, you can beat a team of Minutemen, but it's not enough."

"Wait, what did you say? You read his memories?" Jack's face changed slightly, looking at her solemnly: "Then you also..."

He now knew why the other party recognized him.

"Don't worry, in fact, I can't see into your mind, which is the main reason why I approached you for cooperation," Sylvie waved her hand to signal Jack to relax and began to help him untie the chains.

"I'll do it myself."

After taking a deep look at Sylvie, Jack's hand moved, and the chains that bound his hands and feet disappeared, only to reappear in his hand the next moment.

"Wow, that's a good move," Sylvie exclaimed.

"I thought you only knew how to use brute force," she added.

"Obviously, you didn't finish watching Bucky's memories," Jack replied as he stretched his limbs. He glanced at the sleeping Bucky and decided against waking him up.

"Okay, I have some questions I want to ask. I think you should know the answers," Jack said.

"Ask away, and I'll consider whether to tell you," Sylvie replied, rolling her eyes as she walked over to the monitoring station and sat down.

"Hey, we're working together now, You should tell me what you know." As he walked over to the monitor, Jack said. The screen showed CCTV footage from a big grocery store and several surveillance images crowded with people.

One of the screens showed what appeared to be outside, where a violent storm was raging, just as Jack had expected.

"Okay, what do you want to know? You better be quick. This place will turn into ruins in a few hours," Sylvie warned.

Although he had already guessed, learning the answer still made Jack's heart skip a beat. Was this the time of some great disaster?

"Okay, let's put that aside for now. First, who are you? I mean your true identity. Second, what are you planning to do, and how do you plan to destroy the TVA?" he asked.

"You know, trust is the foundation of our partnership, but that doesn't mean I'll tell you everything," replied Sylvie, giving him a disdainful glance. "Do you think I would reveal my plan to you? Not for now, at least."

"Okay..."

Jack sighed and asked, "So what do we do next? You have to tell me that much."

"This time, you really nailed it," Sylvie praised, snapping her fingers. "I need you to act as bait. Lure the Minutemen over and then take them out, and take this with you."

As she spoke, she tossed him a Tempads and a Reset Charge.

"You want to reset other timelines and generate a large number of time branches, then completely detonate the Sacred Timeline." Jack looked up in surprise at Sylvie. "This plan is crazy. You want to drain the TVA and then sneak into their headquarters!"

He was able to figure this out because this was originally his plan. He would directly sneak into the TVA and find a chance to take them down.

However, his plan was simple and rough, and the shortcomings were equally obvious. TVA was a huge organization, and it was difficult for him and Bucky to cause trouble in the TVA headquarters

But he could only take a chance.

As long as we reset many other timelines and then detonate the Sacred Timeline, it will inevitably produce many timeline branches, and the TVA will definitely send all its Minutemen to stabilize the Sacred Timeline.

When the headquarters are empty, he will have enough time to cause trouble there, including finding those three so-called Time-Keepers.

He had always had a suspicion that, at present, the TVA's control over time is very powerful, but it is all accomplished through some scientific technology, and the Time Variance Authority he encountered before was all weak.

So the question is, time is useless against him, which means he can directly face the Minutemen without any worries. This decision is very risky because he is unsure if the Time Keepers have other technology.

"I'm in! Count me in! I want to settle the score with those Minutemen" Jack made the decision, and the two of them reached temporary cooperation. Sylvie was surprised that Jack could guess her plan from just a few words, which made her feel that working with him was a wise choice.

"We were going to Wisconsin in 1985. I need you to lure a team of Minutemen to chase after you and then capture one of their leaders!"

Since they wanted to settle the score with the Time Keepers, they needed to know their location first. So, they needed to capture a live Time Keeper and then find the exact location of the Time Keepers in their minds.

"It's a piece of cake. Leave it to me." Jack said

"I hope your performance won't make me regret my decision." Sylvie said

Sylvie stood up, picked up the monitor, and opened a portal. She walked in without looking back. Jack followed closely. As for Bucky, the poor guy was left behind. He was still sleeping soundly, so it was better not to disturb him.

.....

1985, Oshkosh, Wisconsin

Jack and Sylvie appeared from the portal, and as soon as they looked around, they frowned in confusion. "Are you sure you didn't make a mistake? This is the United States in 1985?"

No wonder he thought so. The surroundings made him think he was in the Middle Ages, people were wearing rough clothes and holding gatherings, and he even saw a few dwarves running around in the party area.

"Next, it's up to you."

Sylvie didn't answer him but instead, put on her hood again and disappeared with a flash of green light.

"Okay then, I'll take up the test."

Seeing this scene, Jack understood Sylvie's plan. This was the test for him.
