Chapter 255: More Presents

While Matriarch Aasveig was holding onto the unconscious Eyvor, trying to awaken her without causing a scene, I grabbed the next dimension ring, which so happened to belong to Birger; scanning the contents of the dimension ring, I also saw two different objects. One was a normal yet interesting gift, while the other was, how should I put it, much more vulgar. I didn't need to be a scholar to realize the vulgar gift belonged to Nerthus, that lustful nympho; I don't know how, but she must've sneaked it in after Father had already collected all of the dimension rings from our guests.

There was a heart-shaped plant, and from the Qi it was emitting, it wasn't just your everyday plant that just so happened to be in the shape of a heart; it definitely does something, and I'm not going to consume it to find out. However, that's not all as tied to the vine of the heart-shaped plant was a golden key, one that I'm quite familiar with since it's the Qi given to unique or special guests; it pretty much grants one a higher level of authority than normal guests, but by providing this key to me, she was essentially inviting me to her room tonight.

'What annoys me the most is that if it weren't for Elaine, I'd actually think about her invitation instead of outright denying it, and it's all because of my abnormal lust.' Thought Elif as he glanced at Nerthus, who gave a subtle wink before she looked at Eyvor.

Ignoring Nerthus and her little present, if you could even call it such, I shifted my focus to the other, more appropriate gift; summoning it from the dimension, I held the large jar of dirt, which was rich in Qi, before glancing at Birger.

"I'm assuming this isn't just your average dirt, Birger?" Asked Elif with a raised eyebrow as he glanced at Birger before spinning the large jar on his finger.

"Obviously not, Prince Elif; that right there is a jar of soil specifically from our birthing grounds, the same soil I was born from. I don't dare say it's the richest soil in the OverRealm, but good luck finding soil better than what's in that jar." Said Birger with a faint smile as he looked at Elif before gesturing to the Jar, causing him to nod while slightly smiling.

"Well, I'm not much of a Gardener like Matriarch Aasveig or Eyvor, but I imagine such rare soil will come in handy; after all, we do grow a lot of plants. I appreciate the jar of dirt, Birger, although that's not something I'd ever thought I'd hear myself say." Remarked Elif with an appreciative smile before storing the jar within his won dimension ring; his words caused everyone to either smile, chuckle, or laugh, which nearly every woman did the latter, trying their hardest to be noticed by him.

"Same to you, Queen Nerthus; thank you for your gift; it was very unique." Added Elif as he gave Nerthus a slightly forced smile, causing her to smile while Elaine glared furiously at her, though Maria's soothing touches eased her a little.

"You're very much welcome, Prince Elif." Replied Nerthus with a smile before smirking at Elaine, teasing her, which could very well cause her to die in the far future, though for now, she was pretty safe from Elaine's wrath.

"Hmm, you had a present, Mother?" Asked Birger with a raised eyebrow as he glanced at Elif before looking at Nerthus, who was to his right in confusion, prompting her to chuckle softly.

"Hehe, It was a last-second present; that is why, dear." Said Nerthus with a motherly smile as she rubbed Birger's vine-like hair, causing him to grumble under his breath, while Elif grabbed the next dimension ring.

Grabbing the dimension ring belonging to Echo, I scanned inside, half expecting to find something vulgar or suggestive like the previous two dimension rings, but thankfully, that wasn't the case; instead, all I found was a single present, a small bottle, which held three pills inside.

'Ho, are these those Ikari pills I had asked Echo about during Eyvor's twelfth birthday celebration?' Thought Elif with a faint smile as he summoned the bottle and held it in his hand before removing the quark, allowing the smell to freely waft through the air.

Their potency was quite strong since, from just a whiff, I felt my raging lust dwindle as wrath took its place, though it was very brief, and almost immediately after, my lust returned, and it was stronger as well, easily overpowering the anger I was previously feeling.

'Tsk, what luck.' Mused Elif as he quickly closed the bottle before storing it in his dimension ring and looking at Echo.

I could tell my lust was even fiercer than before as I had found Echo to be quite stunning; now, I won't lie and say Echo isn't decently beautiful, but never would I call her stunning.

"I see you remember our little talk from four years ago, Echo." Remarked Elif, subconsciously making a lovely expression as he looked at Echo, who couldn't help but blush slightly.

"Y-Yes, Echo, always keeps her word, Prince Elif; besides, I think it's only fair given the present you gifted me for my coming-of-age birthday. Replied Echo with a nod, slightly blushing as she looked at Elif, causing Elaine to grunt, which managed to snap her out of her little trance.

"Speaking of that, what did you gift her, Prince Elif? Echo refuses to inform us whenever we ask her." Asked Shelia curiously as she glanced at Echo before looking at Elif, keeping composed considering the yandere Elaine was glaring at her.

"Hehe, my mouth is sealed until Echo decides to speak about it; it's her present, after all." Replied Elif with a smirk as he made a shushing motion with his hands, causing Shelia to sigh and shake her head, relenting on the topic for now.

Now, if you're so curious about what I had gifted her, I may or may not have had Grandmother carve a statue of me in all of my glory; granted, I hadn't been entirely naked, I had a thin cloth covering my manhood, and I didn't need to concern my backside, since well, everyone has one, so I saw no need to cover it up. It was a little uncomfortable to be naked before Grandmother, but it's not like she hadn't seen me naked before, so it wasn't too bad, which was good since the statue she made was so great I had asked her to make another one, for me obviously, and that time I was fully nude.

'Still, that's the only thing to ever capture the most of my heavenly magnificence.' Thought Elif narcissistically as he brushed his hair aside while smirking, something only the closet of people understand.

"Haa, this boy." Muttered Tiana with a twitching expression as she rubbed her face while sighing; Maria did the same while Marcus and Tyler just rolled their eyes.

'Your Highness, please save your narcissistic tendencies for another time.' Said Illumia via divine sense as she blankly stared at Elif, knowing that pose all too well, having seen him do it numerous times throughout his life.

'Tsk, why must you ruin my mood, Illumia?' Remarked Elif via divine sense as he snapped out of his narcissism before glancing at Illumia with a frown while grabbing another dimension ring.

Grabbing Shelia's dimension ring, I looked inside it and couldn't help but widen my eyes at what I sensed; inside, there was another small bottle, though this one was made of glass, and inside of it was a single drop of blood. Emanating from that single drop of blood was the Qi that belonged to both a Demon and an Angel, as they intertwined perfectly and naturally.

'Nephalem. The blood of a Nephalem.' Thought Elif in surprise as he glanced at the drop of blood before looking at Shelia, who was trying to conceal her proud smile, though to no avail.

Nephalem is the term used to describe the child between an Angel and a Demon, and they're said to always be born with at least one Immortal rank aptitude, whether it be an immortal spirit root or Immortal Physique; that is the only known way to safely, with utmost certainty, for someone to have an Immortal rank aptitude. It's also the reason why Angels are hunted every time they appear; it's to force them to have a child. However, almost as if the Heavens themselves decided to make a mockery of their shallow thinking, a true Nephalem will only be birthed when said Demon and Angel genuinely love each other.

While a Nephalem doesn't guarantee a powerful child, just a talented one, their blood is considered a pseudo Immortal rank treasure, mainly because of how unbelievably rare it is; I've got no doubt it's possibly one of the rarest treasures in the OverRealm, because, one; Demons despise Angels with all their might, and two; there are so few angels. Besides Lucifer, who had only recently appeared, there hadn't been a sighting of another Angel in the last couple of eons, so even though this was just a drop of blood, it meant two things.

Either the Divine Half-sect has a Nephalem in their ranks, or they had a Nephalem in their ranks a long time ago.

'It must be the latter; no way would the Sect Master allow this as a gift if they truly had a Nephalem in their ranks; they'd be pressured by nearly every Immortal hegemony. Though they must have had enough of it to the point where they'd willingly use it as a gift, I wouldn't be surprised if they had barrels of Nephalem blood stored away somewhere. Even we only have half a barrel of Nephalem blood.' Pondered Elif with a thoughtful expression as he looked at the drop of pure red blood before storing the whole dimension ring within his own.
