I'm not sure I have ever gotten that reaction from causing an orgasm, but it was amazing. Kehlani tastes like heaven on Earth, and I can’t get enough. Once she came down from her peak, she lay motionless on the bed. I sat up and licked her taste off of my fingers. When I peek at Kehlani, I notice that her eyes are closed, and her breathing has gotten heavy. “Kehlani,” I say softly. “Are you okay?” I wait a minute but get no response. I believe I put her to sleep; that is definitely new for me. I chuckle at the sight and rearrange Kehlani on the bed so I can put the covers over her. I'm careful not to wake her. She will need all the rest she can get until the heat hits her again. I look at the time and decide to check in with Brooklyn.

“Hey Jayden. How is everything going over there?” Issac says as he answers my call.

“Everything is good, actually. We are enjoying the time. What's going on over there?”

“Everything is quiet. Are you calling to tell me that you are going to be moving to Summit Mountain permanently?” I roll my eyes and sigh into the phone.

“No, that's not the reason.”

“What are you stalling for? Kehlani is a good she-wolf and she is an Alpha. You can’t really ask for anyone better. Don’t you think you should accept your gift from Moon Goddess so you can start living your future?”

“Issac,” I say as I pinch my nose, “we had this talk. I don't think that I'm the best fit for Kehlani, but I agreed to get to know her, and that is what I'm doing. I was calling to check on my child.”

“Whatever. You can deny all you want, but you can’t avoid the inevitable. Didn’t you just talk to Brooklyn this morning?”

“Of course I did, she called like clockwork, but it has been hours since then. I just wanted to see what she was up to.”

“Well, she is running around with the other kid right now so I will have to get her to call you later.”

“Sounds good. Thank you.”

“Hey Jayden?”

“Yeah?”

“All jokes aside, I just want you to be happy. Please put in a real effort to get to know Kehlani; be open to the possibility.”

“I hear ya, and I promise.” I hit the end button and put my phone on the nightstand. Staring up at the ceiling, I reflect on our date and conversations with Autumn and Issac. I hear what they are saying, but it is hard to believe that I'm enough for this remarkable woman. I watch Kehlani while she sleeps, running my fingers down her cheek. There is no point in overthinking this; I need to just live in the moment. I lay next to Kehlani, curl up against her back, and pull her into me while darkness takes over.

The next three days passed with no significant events. I slept when Kehlani slept, pleased her when the heat hit, and checked in with my daughter. I was able to help with Kehlani’s heat orally and digitally. It was torture to keep from taking her completely and mark her as mine. We agreed this was not the time to have sex, so I did everything possible to maintain control. There have been no rogue attacks since I have been here, and no notes either. Whoever is after Kehlani keeps things quiet for now, but I imagine they will pick back up soon. The morning sun shines through the window, and I look around the room for the first time. It is a massive room with a bathroom and a walk-in closet. The color scheme is regal; gold and navy blue. I would have expected a more feminine coloring for anyone else, but this fit Kehlani. It gives the feeling of royalty and power. A television is mounted on the wall, and the king-size bed is across the room.

Kehlani starts to stir in her sleep. I look down at her and place a soft kiss on her forehead. Kehlani stretches and looks up at me, still looking a bit tired.

“How are you feeling this morning?” I ask her softly.

“I feel pretty good today. I think the heat is finally over.”

“That’s good to hear.” I smile down at her.

“Thank you for helping me through this. I know this is not how you imagined we would pass your time here,” she said while running a finger up and down my chest. The sparks were intense, and I was having trouble staying focused.

“Well,” I swallowed, “it's true that I didn’t expect our time to be spent this way though I really can’t complain. I had the pleasure of bringing pleasure to a very beautiful woman. Who could be mad at that?” I smirked and rubbed my nose on her head. Kehlani laughed and hugged me tight.

“Speaking of bringing pleasure…..” Kehlani looked up at me. She brought up her hand and caressed my cheek. Kehlani leaned in and kissed my lips. The kiss went from soft to passionate pretty quickly. After a while, she pulled back, and I tried to catch my breath.

“What was that for?” I asked.

“Well, I was hoping that I could give you a fraction of what you have given me over the past few days.”

“You know that you don’t need to do that. I did what I did to help you out, not so that…..” All of a sudden, I feel Kehlani’s hands around my member. Being this close to her was already hard, and her touch is making it harder. Kehlani starts stroking my member, and I can’t help the growl that escapes my lips. “If you keep that up,” I say huskily, “I won’t even try to hold back from taking all of you.”

“Well, if that happens, then my plan was a success.” Kelani says and starts kissing me down my neck to my marking spot. There she stops and starts to suck all over that area, driving me into a frenzy. Just then, my phone rings. I ignore it while Kehlani continues to attack my neck and stroke me up and down. My phone rings again, and I know that it must be important. I groan into the pillow and reach out for my phone. Kehlani still holds me, but she stops kissing my neck so I can answer.

“What?!” I growl into the phone.

“Uh, Jayden, it’s Issac. I….uh…..I think you need to come back home.” I sit up quickly and am immediately tense.

“What is it? Is Brooklyn okay? Did something happen?”

“Brooklyn is fine. She's on her way to the cabin with Autumn and the twins. You just….you just need to get here. It is important.”

“Okay, I will be on the way shortly.” I turn to Kehlani and see the concern in her eyes. “That was Issac. He said I need to get back home but won’t tell me why. He says Brooklyn is okay, so I'm not sure what's going on.”

Kehlani had already removed her hands from me and was sitting up. “Is there anything I can do?”

“No. I'm not sure there is even a problem. I hate to leave so quickly.”

“It's fine. I understand. Call me once you see what's going on.”

“I will.” I'm already up and throwing my clothes on. I had moved my bag into her room a few days ago since I knew we would be locked away for a while. I kissed Kehlani on her lips. “I will talk to you soon.” I'm out the door and outside in a flash. Kehlani must have mindlinked someone while I was getting ready because my car was running and waiting for me. I hop in and make the 3-hour trip as quickly as I can.

I finally arrived back at Eclipse Moon and couldn’t get out of the car fast enough. Waiting for me at the packhouse door is Issac. He has an indecipherable look on his face, but he definitely can’t be accused of looking happy. I run up to him and am about to pass him to go into the packhouse when he grabs my arm to stop me.

“What is it? What's going on that I had to rush back?”

“Jayden….I don’t…..you…”

“WHAT?!?!?! You're freaking me out right now? What happened; where is Brooklyn?”

“I told you that Brooklyn is safe. She is with Autumn and the twins. I had them leave as soon as….” Now I'm extremely frustrated. If Brooklyn is okay, then what's the problem? I grab Issac’s shoulders and look him dead in his eyes.

“Tell. me. what. is. going. on. right. now.” I say through gritted teeth. Issac sighs and looks down at his feet. He takes a minute and looks back up at me.

“Shhheee is here.” My hands drop from his shoulders. This can’t be happening right now. This has to be a joke.

“Shheee…..she is….here?!”

“Yes, she called last night to say she was in the area. I thought it was a joke, but I made a plan to move Autumn, Brooklyn, and the twins just in case. This morning, she showed up at the packhouse looking for you. I didn’t know what to do so I called you.” Issac looks extremely uncomfortable and apologetic. I run my hand through my hair and sigh.

“Where is she now?”

“She's waiting in your office.” I turn toward the door to go inside when Issac stops me again.

“Do you want me to come with you?”

“No. I need to do this myself.” I pat Issac on the back and head into the packhouse. I slowly walk to the stairs, and pack members greet me as I pass them. Some smile at me, and some look worried. I trudge up the stairs and walk down the hall to my office. The door is closed, and I stop in front to breathe a bit and prepare. I open the door and can smell her before seeing her; she still wears the same perfume. She turns and looks at me with a slight smile on her face.

“Jayden, I’ve been waiting for you.”

“Hey Stella…..how have you been?”
