Excerpt: 

“ENOUGH!” I roar in my Alpha tone. “You will not put your hands on me! YOU….you will be the one to submit!” All of the waiters in the room dropped to their knees and bare their necks. I know I am a strong Alpha and try not to use my tone unless absolutely necessary. Even some of the Alphas watching have trouble remaining in their seats since I am easily stronger than many.

Mates: The Beginning

What the hell?!?! Jayden just jumped off of the balcony and shifted in mid-air! That isn’t something that many can do, and people are always amazed when I do it. Here I am, an Alpha by blood, and Jayden is a Beta….or is he? I walk out on the balcony to have a look. I see Jayden’s wolf form shake out his fur and look up toward me. He is pretty big. He looks to be as big as I am. His paws are brown, and his fur is a dark gray with…..are those red highlights in his fur?! I don’t know what to do, but I have so many questions right now. I don’t have time to think because I’m being prompted to follow. 


Not wanting to be outdone, I back up into the room and run towards the balcony, launching myself off. I land next to Jayden in my wolf form. He has those damn green eyes as a wolf, just slightly darker. He nuzzles my neck and touches his nose to mine. I let Kai take control, and she takes off into the woods with Jace at her heels.
