Excerpt: 

“ENOUGH!” I roar in my Alpha tone. “You will not put your hands on me! YOU….you will be the one to submit!” All of the waiters in the room dropped to their knees and bare their necks. I know I am a strong Alpha and try not to use my tone unless absolutely necessary. Even some of the Alphas watching have trouble remaining in their seats since I am easily stronger than many.

Mates: The Beginning

After a strenuous training session and strenuous cleanup, I leave Jayden and Brooklyn to head to my office. When I walk in, Melanie and Jax are in there waiting. “What are you two doing here? I know we didn’t have a meeting.” Melanie and Jax look at each other and seem to be mind-linking. “Uh guys…..do you want to include me in this conversation or what?” They both look at me and look apprehensive. I raise my eyebrow and wait for someone to speak. 


“Well….see….we were talking and…..” Melanie starts but is so flustered that she can’t get the words out. Jax clears his throat and sits up on the couch. 


“Look, Red. There seems to be something…..weird about Jayden.” 


“What in the world are you talking about?” 


“Well while you two were sparring we noticed a few things.” I take a seat at my desk. 


“Well, no one has ever lasted that long with you before,” Melanie says.
