Excerpt: 

“ENOUGH!” I roar in my Alpha tone. “You will not put your hands on me! YOU….you will be the one to submit!” All of the waiters in the room dropped to their knees and bare their necks. I know I am a strong Alpha and try not to use my tone unless absolutely necessary. Even some of the Alphas watching have trouble remaining in their seats since I am easily stronger than many.

Mates: The Beginning

My lieutenant just came in with the information for where the challenge will take place. I plan to go check it out later today. Kehlani has no idea what I have planned for her. It will be hard to wait these three days, but it will be worth the wait. We have taken up residence in an abandoned house. Rogues are watching the perimeter, some are eating in the dining room, and others are in the living room with me. I’m sitting at a table looking over some papers. 


“Nico!” A tall, dark-haired man walks into the room. 


“Do you have our little package ready for the battle?” 


“Yes, sir. But….do you think it is really necessary?” I rise out of the chair and slowly walk toward Nico. Those in the room have stopped what they are doing and are watching to see what will happen. A few look scared, and a couple grins, knowing what is to come. Who the hell does he think he is questioning me? I’m nose-to-nose with Nico. 


Chapter 41
