CHAPTER 43- WITH JUSTICE COMES JUDGEMENT

Janice was having breakfast with Penelope and her mother in the kitchens. She'd made it sort of a daily routine to eat there with them every morning, instead of at the servants quarters. None of them seemed to mind anyways.

She stole a glance at her mother, happy that she was finally at peace. Her mother was happy here. And that was what really mattered.

Janice didn't want to spoil the moment by telling her mother about her ugly encounter with Darian, plus, she didn't want her worrying unnecessarily,so she decided not to tell them about it.

Besides, she didn't think those men would be bothering her anymore. Darian had taken care of them. Thinking back, Janice remembered that when she'd asked Fiona if Darian usually took serving girls along with him during his picnics, she'd said that the Darian she knew was almost an introverted person.
