CHAPTER 62- A TACTICAL SHIFT.

Mera opened her eyes to see Dexter standing by the window holding their child. So she hadn't been hallucinating then? Dexter was really there with her when she was giving birth? So many questions were going through her mind at the same time and she wanted to ask all of them at once.

Her ring! She quickly looked down at her finger and to her relief, there it was, perched atop her finger where it belonged. She continued to look at Dexter and the baby. He rocked the baby tirelessly in his strong arms, laughing as it cooed.

"I am your father. I am your daddy." He said, stroking its little face with his pinky finger. Suddenly the baby began to cry and Dexter started panicking.

"What's wrong?" He had begun to dance about in an attempt to pacify it. Instead the baby increased its cries.

"I know. You must be hungry." He realised. "Poor thing, you haven't had anything to eat since you were born."
