Panic attack

Cindy clung to Alexander as if her life depended on it, her heart still pounding from the terrifying dream that had jolted her awake. The vivid images of shadows and danger still lingered in her mind, refusing to fade into the background. Her breath came in shallow, rapid gasps, and she could feel the telltale signs of a panic attack building inside her, threatening to overwhelm her completely.

Alexander held her tightly, his strong arms wrapped around her, trying to steady her trembling body. He could feel the rapid rise and fall of her chest, the way her fingers gripped his shirt as if she feared he might disappear at any moment. Her breath hitched, and she buried her face against his chest, seeking comfort, but the remnants of the dream were like a dark cloud hovering over her, making it impossible for her to calm down.
