Lillian

The Irish girl gazed at Lillian, trembling from head to toe.

"Lilly Anne?" The Irish girl asked.

Lillian rolled her eyes and scoffed, "If you're looking for your little 'girlfriend' I done killed that bitch." she said.

The Irish girl looked at Lillian confused, "No Waterlily it's me Junebug..." The girl said.

"Sorry but again I killed her." Lillian said.

The young girls' eyes glowed a purplish color as she stood in the dark, Megan shined her flashlight towards her. Christine glared at Lillian as she pointed the gun in her hands at her.

"Shut up!" Christine yelled.

Lillian looked at Christine and smiled, "Oh look it's that asshole's little girlfriend. I'm going to enjoy killing you." She cooed.

"It's your fault..." Christine mumbled.

"What was that? I couldn't hear you." Lillian giggled.

"I said it's your fault! You let Chris or whatever his name is free, and he killed my boyfriend!" Christine screamed.

Lillian giggled, "He isn't the only one I killed." she said.

The young girl looked almost dead as she stood in the shadows, her black hair complemented her pale skin. Her eyes still glowing a sickly purple, as she spoke again.

"I'm getting bored; let's speed this up. And 'Junebug,' tell that Lilly bitch I said thanks for the makeover," Lillian remarked to the Irish girl, her tone laced with contempt as she mentioned the name.

"Shut the hell up!!" The Irish girl yelled as she grabbed the gun from Christine and shot Lillian in the head.

Lillian dropped to the floor as the Irish girl began to shake, the blonde girl from earlier placed a hand on her shoulder causing her to flinch.

"June..." The blonde girl said softly.

"Get away from me!" The Irish girl, June, yelled.

"June we should go." The blonde girl said.

"Sorry Adaline...she just got to me head." June said.

Megan looked at the two girls and the other group, "I agree with, Adaline, was it? We should go we have no idea how many more of those things are out there. And by the looks of it they can take the form of others." she said.

June nodded, "Let's keep going till we find somewhere safe to stay." she said.

Everyone looked at each other before nodding and following June. They didn't really have any other choice at the moment. As they walked deeper into the forest the other group started talking.

"I'm sorry for getting ya lost..." June said.

"I'm sorry for yelling like that." Andrea said.

"Let us introduce ourselves." June said.

"I'm Adaline, but everyone calls me Ada. (A-da)" Adaline said.

"I'm June, but my friends and family call me Junebug." June said.

"I'm Megan, but my friends call me Megs." Megan said.

As they walked everyone began to introduce themselves, after a while the group was talking and getting along. They walked for a few more hours before they came across the old worn-down cabin June had told them about earlier. They all walked inside and sat down, June braced herself against the wall, clutching her side.

"You ok June?" Megan asked worriedly.

"Yea, I think I popped a few stiches..." June said, as a look of pain spread over her face.

Chase walked over to the injured girl and pulled a med kit out of his bag, "I take med classes in school I can help..." he said.

June looked at a red headed boy sitting in the corner of the room, he nodded at her before June took her hand off her side. Letting Chase take a look at her injuries.

Chase lifted her shirt slightly, revealing a deep gash in her side. "Where did you get this...?" He asked.

"When those beasts..." June began, shifting to give Chase a better view of her side, which made her wince in pain. "Killed me father...I tried to run. But I wasn't fast enough, and they managed to get a good swipe at me before Ada shot em." June explained.

Chase nodded, suturing her wound before moving to Jake to examine his injuries. "They've done the same to Jake here,"

June nodded and looked around, "We won't be safe here for very long. We should leave in a few hours."

"I'll stay awake while you guys try to get some sleep..." Jake told his friends.

"You sure?" Chase asked.

"I used to hunt with Leo and his father," Jake said, pausing sadly, "when we were younger."

The silence in the room deepened as Christine gazed out the window, her expression somber. Outside, the crunching of leaves broke the stillness. Jake seized his shotgun and rose to his feet, aiming at the door in anticipation. Moments later, the door burst open, revealing a battered and bloodied Leo, clutching an injured girl in his arms.

"Stay back!" Christine yelled as she pointed a gun at him.

The wounded Leo managed a faint smile and softly uttered, "Baby..."

"Don't call me that!" Christine yelled.

"Help..." was the only word the injured man uttered before collapsing forward alongside the girl.

Chase hurried to him, pulled him inside, and closed the door.

"Are ya crazy! He could be one of those things!" June yelled.

"He's not! Look at the blood." Chase yelled.

"What are you talking about!?" Jake yelled back.

"Those things hunting us! When June shot 'Lillian' her blood was black. The blood on these two is red. And their eyes didn't glow like those beasts did." Chase explained.

June looked at him skeptically as he helped the injured teens.

"If your wrong, I'm shooting them both." Christine said coldly.

Chase nodded, carefully suturing the wounds of the two injured teenagers, as Christine gazed out the window.

"Hey," Megan started as she walked over to Christine. "Are you ok, you're usually a really nice person?"

Christine nodded; her gaze fixed on Leo. After a moment of silence, she finally spoke. "Do you believe it's truly him?"

"It could be, Chase did have a point those things' eyes did glow in the dark. Or well at least Chris and Lillian's eyes did." Megan said softly.
