As soon as Leng San woke up in the middle of an unknown forest, he became stupefied. His grandfather, his Leng Clan, and the clan’s enemy, the Asuras, that were fighting against each other were all gone. As Leng San was the only hope of the Leng Clan, his grandfather had to send him through time to 1,500 years in the future, in order to completely escape from the pursuing of the Asuras. If the grandfather did not decrease Leng San’s qi to the lowest level, he might not be able to time travel and eventually get killed.

“Freya, can you use your senses to track down the thieves? These corpses are still warm. This means that they were killed within the last one to two shichen (two to four hours) and many of the girls they abducted are not qi-users. They should be within the range of your detection,” Leng San remarked while checking the bodies.


“About forty lis, west of the village, I can sense numerous qi. They are moving in a group of eighty. Around ten of them have very low qi, who I suspect to be the women they’ve abducted. For enemies, two of them have green qi, seven have blue qi, and nineteen with indigo qi, the rest have high-level violet qi.” Freya answered.


Zooming at maximum speed, Leng San traveled so fast he could be seen as a flash of green light heading towards the west...
