Chapter 64- What deal?

"So what did she say?" It was after that Jin-Woo along with Haru and the captive made some distance from the hustle and bustle of the city, that Haru asked the question without any context.

"Hmm?" Jin-Woo raised his brows in confusion as they made their way inside an abandoned building where Haru had teleported them.

Go Gun-Hee has already asked where they would be going and has made everyone around that area evacuate as soon as possible, just in case.

"I mean Hunter Cha. She looked fairly tense about you." Jin-Woo narrowed his eyes at that before retaliating.

"She was stressed for both of us so no point of you trying to tease me for this. " Despite what he said, Jin-Woo was actually a little relaxed that Haru was now being a little more of his usual self compared to before.

Haru allowed his lips to arch a little as he replied in a cocky tone, "You sure about that, Sunbae? Since from what I saw she was practically throwing herself all over you. You know that hand holding and stuff..." Alright, now Jin-Woo was a little embarrassed hearing that from his junior.

Indeed Hunter Cha seemed unusually apprehensive today and she was justifiably so since from her perspective Haru and Jin-Woo might get killed today. And because of her trepidation, she grew a little clingy to Jin-Woo.

At that time Jin-Woo didn't seem bothered being fawned over by a beautiful girl but right now...

"Haah....just leave that topic for now." As Jin-Woo said with a long audible sigh both of them came to a halt, naturally the prisoner also did.

Taking a look around, Haru discerned that there was no one in the vicinity whatsoever.

"I am releasing him." Seeing Jin-Woo nod, Haru took out a small switch from his pocket before flipping it.

**HISSSS**

With a loud hissing sound the locks around the elf adjusted before the luminescent lights faded off and the metal dropped to the ground with a strong thud.

[This disgrace.]

The elf growled in anger at being taken as a captive for more than four hours now. Jin-Woo and Haru looked unbothered by the discomfort the Monarch had to face as their focus was only converged on a single person.

Haru hadn't worn his glasses since earlier so he could tell that currently there was no hidden presence of monarchs at all. Which meant...

[Follow me.]

The elf opened a portal before he told the two to walk behind him. Jin-Woo glanced at Haru and saw him nodding before the two individuals walked the path together and crossed the gate.

There was a subtle change in space before Haru found his gaze locked with a girl whom he was desperate to see.

Jinah was safe but scared. A portion of her head seemed wounded but there was no blood nor it seemed there was any physical injury implicated on her. As for her mental state..the way she began crying her heart out upon seeing Haru and Jin-Woo, it became apparent how shaken up she was.

Jin-Woo glanced around the place and found that the very air of their surrounding was seemingly frozen like they were somewhere in between dimensions.

He gazed at the single individual other than Jinah standing with a malicious grin on his face.

The man seemed to be in his twenties with slicked-back and dirty blond hair paired up with emerald eyes. He wore a long coat like a robe

More than his coat, his arrogance seemed to be enshrouding the man whatsoever.

[You lured them in so easily yet that old man was getting fanatic all over.]

The blond man spoke in a thin voice, addressing the elf beside Jin-Woo who once again had that cheeky bastard-like smile lifting the edges of his lips.

'Old man...so there is someone else as well...' From the looks of it the three people who came to take Jinah were just merely soldiers along with this strange guy who seemingly was another monarch.

[The day Yogumunt throws away his over-cautiousness and begins to show even the tiniest bit of courage, things might become a little less hectic the next time.]

Remembering the fallen monarch The Frost Monarch had lost in battle, he couldn't help but grumble at the thought of the Monarch of Transfiguration.

[Well, we have gained what we desired so no point in mulling over spilled milk.]

The blond man spoke while fixating his gaze on Jin-Woo and a glint of murderous aura surrounded his demeanor.

Jin-Woo felt cold sweat dripping down his head upon feeling that aura but he held his ground and took out his daggers. He didn't have to try summoning his soldiers for the time being, until he didn't ensure Jinah's safety.

[What about the Anomaly? Is here to take the hostage back?]

Hearing the word, Jin-Woo's gaze traveled toward Haru who had been standing beside him since earlier, without any sign of movement at all. Haru was just looking at Jinah without any emotions on his face whatsoever.

For some reason, Jin-Woo didn't have a good feeling about the shift of situation, and upon hearing the elf's following words, Jin-Woo found his hunch to be proven right.

[No, the Anomaly would have to die here as well if he wants to save that little girl over there.]

"This was not the deal! " Jin-Woo couldn't help yelling at that with his agitation now nearing its limit. Somehow he expected this outcome but it didn't mean he was fine with it.

Even if Jin-Woo had to keep fighting these two jokers for the rest of his life, he would ensure that Jinah and Haru walked out safely today.

[Phahahaha...you think we are some apostle of a saint to keep our words or something?]

Frost Monarch jumped from his spot and landed beside Jinah with the other monarch on the other side of her. She was surrounded with danger and with Jin-Woo's current stats he wouldn't be fast enough to reach her before one of those two harmed her.

'What should I do...' Jin-Woo gritted his teeth and prepared to summon Tusk to create a hymn of protection around Jinah and Beru to attack the elf while Jin-Woo deals with the other one.

But the question was, would that be enough?

[Now, Anomaly. If you don't want this girl to die, raise both of your hands and surrender.]

The blond guy suggested as Jin-Woo readied himself to jump into action any moment once Haru began his first move.

But, "Why..."

Jin-Woo couldn't help muttering under his breath as he saw Haru raising his both hands in the air. The grin on the faces of the Monarchs widened and the tears of Jinah fell on her knees in grief.

It was then when suddenly the Monarch of Frost quirked his brows upon seeing the anomaly bringing his left hand near his face and tucking his middle finger behind his raised index finger.

['Something is about to happen..']

The realization dawned upon the monarch a little late before a simple four words left Haru's mouth and the worst nightmare of the monarch engulfed them.

"Domain Expansion: Unlimited Void."
