Chapter 85- Floor 3: Begin!

"How does it feel, Jinah?" It had been some minutes since Jinah consumed the energy orb and she seemed quite fine.

Haru was continuously observing her energy fluctuation and unlike what he thought, the mana was adapting to her body quite perfectly, to the point where Haru was not able to believe his eyes.

It seemed she was naturally awakened and had been dealing with magic ever since.

It was truly... unbelievable.

"There is no discomfort...but a tingly sensation is running across my belly. It feels like it's empowering me. Almost like urging me to run around the place for no reason."

Jinah was smiling broadly as she swirled mana around her hand quite effortlessly. She was manipulating mana like a professional hunter and the strain that a newly awakened faces upon trying to control their magic, was nowhere to be seen.

"Are you sure everything is alright?" Jin-Woo's concerned tone was met by a cheerful nod from his sister.

"I would have told you immediately if anything would have felt uncomfortable."

Both men released a deep sigh of relief.

.....

The group of three walked a little away from the warehouse to test Jinah's power.

Haru was standing just a meter behind Jinah, while Jin-Woo was facing her, approximately twenty meters away.

"When he throws things at you, cast your mana and imagine a barrier to protect yourself." Hearing Haru's instruction, Jinah nodded.

Her eyes were flaming with determination as she clenched her fist and readied herself.

Jin-Woo crouched and picked a small rock. Pinching it between his thumb and index finger, Jin-Woo reeled his hand back and threw the stone with a fraction of his actual strength.

The stone covered the distance within half a second, aiming for Jinah's stomach. However, before the stone could have hit her,

*TING*

A small bell-like sound resonated, as the cyan-layered barrier protected Jinah from the assault. The shield was hexagonal in shape and had enough width to cover Jinah's whole body.

"It worked!" Jinah beamed with a smile as she turned to look at Haru, expecting some praise.

Haru smiled and patted the girl, "You did great."

From there on, the experiments continued.

Jin-Woo increased the level of throwables, from small stones to big ones, which soon turned into small boulders as well.

Different materials like knives, spears, and even the Demonic Sword Jin-Woo possessed were also targeted toward Jinah.

However, as the danger increased the shield in front of her turned more condensed, protecting the girl from any possible danger.

Haru always remained by Jinah's side with his Infinity extended to cover her as well. Even if her barrier collapses, he would be able to protect her. That was why, Jin-Woo never held back.

*TING*

Blocking five daggers at the same time, Jinah stood proudly at her position...albeit there was an evident sign of fatigue on her visage.

"Let's stop here." There were several more tests, Haru wanted to conduct, but considering her condition, he decided otherwise.

Jin-Woo nodded before he began advancing toward the duo.

"Her barrier is improving with time and there is no backlash." Jin-Woo sounded a little surprised and relieved as he stood near the two.

"It sure feels like she has been practicing this skill for ages. Like it's all-natural." Haru added his perspective to which Jin-Woo nodded without any hesitation.

Any hunter needs time and effort to master their technique, yet here, Jinah already seemed quite proficient in handling her newfound powers. It was like she was born to wield mana but somehow was held back.

Jinah had a broad smile all the way as they walked back inside the warehouse. She was really nervous about how it would go, but hearing her Oppa and Haru, it seemed she did well.

....

Jinah wanted to rest so she occupied the bean bag and began watching some TV program, while Jin-Woo and Haru stood near the entrance.

"I am thinking of calling Jin-Ho, just in case while we would be away." As Jin-Woo took out his phone to call, Haru instantly shook his head and denied the suggestion.

"No...don't. Just don't."

Jin-Woo raised his brows at the immediate rejection before he asked, "He is a reliable person, despite how he acts."

"It's not about that, Sunbae...I...well, forget it. The place we are going doesn't follow our timeline. So basically even if we spend days there, it would be minutes for this world."

Jin-Woo was taken aback by this sudden otherworldly information to pay mind at how repulsive Haru seemed at the idea of leaving Jinah under Jin-Ho's protection.

"Then...I will just leave my soldiers behind." Haru nodded at that.

After attaching, Igrit, Tank, and some high-ranking soldiers to Jinah the two men finally bid their farewell to the girl and once again, stepped out of the warehouse.

It was finally the time.

Reading the description, Haru hummed as he stood inside the white room where he had already been a couple of times before.

However, the new addition in this room was utterly baffled by how his surroundings suddenly changed and the uncanny paint of the room was nothing less than bizarre.

Nevertheless, Jin-Woo remained silent for the time being and allowed Haru to process whatever he was thinking.

Finally, after what seemed like five minutes, Haru turned to look at his senior and voiced his intention regarding this trip,

" Sunbae...you have to handle every danger by yourself under a limited time. I suggest you utilize your shadow as little as you can since the motive behind this trip is to help you become stronger."

Jin-Woo already knew that much but his concern lay in something else, "But...who am I fighting?"

Hearing his Sunbae's question, the left side of Haru's lips lifted before he answered in a sly tone,

"Nothing much...just some metalheads who can adapt to anything. So let's get ready, Sunbae~"
