Chapter 88- Floor 3: Overwhelming!

*CRACK*

The pavement, where Haru was arm wrestling with the steel man, named Colossus, cracked as the winner was finally concluded.

Initially, Haru didn't think he would need to utilize mana going against the guy...however, soon he changed his mind since Colossus wasn't just made of metal for nothing. This guy had the strength to lift a hundred tons so definitely, Haru couldn't have beat him half-heartedly.

"It was a satisfying defeat." Colossus didn't seem dejected that his forté, that is strength, was also beaten by a teenager.

Haru grinned before he heard the panicked voice of Blink reaching from not so far away, "Hey...is your friend not human? How can he not get tired after facing so many Sentinels?"

Hearing her stuttering voice made Haru turn his head toward the direction where the battle was taking place. His eyes caught the sight of his Sunbae bisecting a Sentinel in several small pieces with the long blade he held.

A smirk extended his lines as Haru responded in a carefree tone, "Ah, he's a human, undoubtedly. But his appetite for battle is a little on the crazy side. Don't bother and let's compete who can teleport faster..."

Back in the air, about fifteen Sentinels were advancing at Jin-Woo at once without even blinking an eye at Kaisel. Being smart robots, Jin-Woo assumed that they focused on a more dangerous foe for the time being.

Regardless, Jin-Woo was more than welcoming for this attention. He desired to be targeted by as many robots as he could face. After all, anything that helps him train and gain EXP, is a blessing in disguise.

"[Dominator's touch]" Using his skill with his left hand, Jin-Woo pulled one of the Sentinels and slashed the weapon in his hand, diagonally. The blade did its work and after dividing the Sentinel, it began rotting its material, leaving no chance for the inhuman to survive.

*SCHOOO*

Tilting to his left, Jin-Woo dodged the beam of energy and threw the black sword, now turned into a dagger, toward the open-face panel of the Sentinel.

The Sentinel tried removing the dagger, but thanks to the telekinetic ability of Jin-Woo, the Sentinel could only find the dagger descending down its body, rendering the Sentinel, useless.

**SWOOOSH**

In the nick of time, Jin-Woo crouched down to dodge the kick from the Sentinel, before he kicked the metal man, making his opponent kneel on the surface. Jin-Woo didn't wait to use his skill, [Mutilation].

Several slashes were made on the Sentinel before it began falling off Kaisel's back.

Jin-Woo didn't have the luxury to witness the scene, as he summoned his ring back on his finger and transformed it into a bow and arrow.

The mysterious artifact allowed Jin-Woo to wield an infinite amount of ammo, and such, he didn't hesitate shooting the black formation of what seemed like an arrow, toward the nearest Sentinel.

The arrow pierced through the head of the target before the said target began to fall. The same happened with several other Sentinel as Jin-Woo turned and tilted in different directions to keep on firing arrows, like a machine gun.

The Hunter was overwhelming the field.

At the same time, Beru was accompanying his master quite brilliantly. His keen senses and the ability to notice intent allowed the Ant King to detect from where the enemy was approaching.

The humanoid soldier advanced without hesitation and used its deadly claws to rip the life out of its adversaries. Nothing stood before the mighty predator, who lives with the motive to serve his King.

And currently, his King wanted nothing more than the slaughter of the enemy forces.

Back at the fort, Haru could see the number of Sentinels being shot down at quite a tremendous pace.

It's been only half an hour yet almost fifty Sentinels were dead. It may not be too great in the eyes of others, but who knows the capabilities of a Sentinel, surely would look at these figures, in awe.

And, looking at the agape expression of most of the mutants, Haru could tell, how great of a feat, his Sunbae was achieving.

"He...is versatile...and strong..." Haru raised his brows upon hearing the praise from Storm.

Apart from him, only Storm and Warpath were the ones who could gaze at the battlefield clearly. However, it didn't mean the others were oblivious to the situation.

The number of material falling toward the ground was enough evidence to know what kind of beasts were fighting out there.

"He adapts quickly...and doesn't rely on a single strategy. Truly amazing." Warpath had similar expressions as others, as he complimented the person whom they had been wary against some minutes ago.

Haru sighed before he pried into the information dimension to look at what was happening inside the altar room.

'Hmm...' Kitty wasn't injured, which means Logan hasn't met Stryker until now.

'We still have plenty of time—Haru noted.

It was then,

"Incoming!" Warpath shouted before Haru focused on the front.

As Warpath warned, a whole ship of Sentinel used camouflage to travel past Jin-Woo and advance toward their primary target; Mutants.

It shows that Sentinels were not just command-driven robots, but had conscience enough to target multiple entities; avoiding the troublesome ones, if necessary.

Every mutant was gobsmacked for a moment when suddenly, Storm shouted, "Prepare!"

Their trance broke instantly, as the mutants readied themselves for the battle. Bishop demanded for Pyro's flame to charge his energy discharger. Storm began to create smog around the front to give others some time, while Blink took the backline to provide support.

Every mutant was on their spot to face the calamity with their best and provide Logan, enough time to finish this war, once and for all.

The ship drew near. The heartbeats of the mutants elevated. The tension in the air grew as they anticipated to watch the panel open up and shoot numerous Sentinels in their way.

However, before anything could have occurred,

"Material Burst."

For a moment, the whole battlefield turned still, and the next moment,

**BOOOOOOOOOM**

An explosion occurred, with the center of the ship at its nucleus, covering the whole thing inside its radius. The explosion had enough destruction to shake the fort, slash the air turn the color of the sky red for a moment.

The mutants all fell to their knees, trying to not get swept by the harsh backlash of the attack while Jin-Woo was trying to not fall off Kaisel.

The other Sentinels were blown away along with Beru, that kind of destruction everyone witnessed just now.

Even Magneto and Iceman marched outside to see what caused such a great explosion...only to find a single young man still standing on his feet while rubbing the back of his head.

"I guess I overdid it?"
