Chapter 92- Back Up?

"Hmm?" Inside the Sung residence, suddenly Park Kyung-Hye turned to look at the entrance with her hand coming to a pause.

Her husband, who was wiping the plates his wife was washing, looked at her in confusion as he asked, "Is something the matter?"

For some reason, the lady seemed a bit apprehensive.

"When did Jin-Woo leave?" Her question ushered Jinah to enter the kitchen as she responded, "Just a few minutes. Why?"

Now the whole family was a bit tense upon seeing the slightly anxious visage of the lady, however, she soon discarded her worries,

"Let it be. It's nothing."

Jinah remained standing near the kitchen as she saw her Mom and Dad continuing their work.

She contemplated for a bit before pulling her phone from her pocket and calling a specific person.

The inside of the dungeon looked as ominous as ever, as Jin-Woo made his way across the place which would lead him to the double lair.

It was surprising to know that this gate had already appeared some days ago and the association had even allowed the rights of this dungeon to a guild.

Thankfully, Jin-Woo arrived on time and called the Chairman, to inform them about the gate.

Naturally, Go Gun-Hee was panicked since the double dungeon could range up to S-rank easily. The last time Double Dungeon appeared, many people lost their lives, and Jin-Woo attained something life-changing.

He has informed no one about this raid, including Haru, since Jin-Woo was searching for answers. He wants to know everything about this system and for that, he needs to clear this dungeon alone.

'So this it...' Standing in front of the large entrance, Jin-Woo took several long breaths before summoning the key to the Cartenon Temple, and finally stepping inside.

[Some minutes ago]

"Hmm? Matsumoto did? Seriously?" On top of a tower, Haru currently was munching over his hot dog while chatting with his father over the phone.

The reason for his astonishment comes from the fact that Japan has agreed to ask for help from Korea against the S-rank gate.

[The situation is dire, and as such, very few options remain. Additionally, the whereabouts of the national-ranked hunter Orloff Yuri are unknown. We need to be prepared for the worst.]

Haru dryly chuckled upon hearing that name. The said national-level hunter was nothing more than a farmer now without any of his powers. However, there was no need for his father to know such a thing.

Biting the remaining bun, Haru asked,

"And do they trust us enough to leave that massive vortex in our care?" It wasn't like Haru needed anyone's assistance to take care of the Giants and the Monarch, but still, the fact that this world only knew a fraction of his power raised the question—whether Japan would trust Haru and Jin-Woo enough to let them handle everything.

There was a small pause from the other end before the person asked,

[Haru...can you help us?]

Haru raised his brows at that. The sudden shift of tone, which was a blend of concern and anxiety; surprised him.

Dropping his casual demeanor, Haru answered without any hesitation, "I will. Don't worry, Dad."

Not so long after the call was disconnected since Reiji had some work to finish.

Haru was about to teleport to a nearby cafe and buy a bubble tea, when suddenly, he received another phone call.

"Jinah?"

[This is your final test. Conquer it, and I will answer everything.]

The creepy voice of the stone statue gave an ominous vibe as Jin-Woo stood meters away from the sole figure apart from himself, which was emitting magical energy

This was it. This was the same place where his life changed. Where he was pushed to the brink of his death, only to find himself alive the next day. The place that gave him his newfound powers, Jin-Woo has come to know about its origin.

*CREAK*

**DHAK**

Hearing the reverberation of footsteps of the stone statues, advancing in his direction, made Jin-Woo aware of his current stance.

He was up for a multi-target battle.

"Arise." Nothing would be better than the backup of his shadows, just in case Jin-Woo gets too invested in the battle to keep an eye on the main preparator of this event.

However,

*SNAP*

[We can't have that. After all, I want to assess your skills. I have no interest in your servants.]

Reading the prompt of the system signifies how the skill to summon the shadows has been suppressed, and also, upon hearing the statue's words, Jin-Woo frowned.

'All my hidden cards are worth nothing when I truly need them.' Not only the summoning skill but the option of 'Store' was also negated.

However, none of it was enough to waver him off his stance. If not his soldiers, then Jin-Woo would need to finish things off, all by himself.

*SWISH*

Dodging the incoming blade, Jin-Woo pulled something out of his Inventory, before smashing the blade of the stone knight with a thunderous smash.

**RUMBLE**

The whole place trembled when Jin-Woo's weapon contacted the surface making the stone soldiers halt in their path for merely a second.

[Hmm?]

The Architect let out a sound of surprise upon seeing the mysterious weapon in Jin-Woo's hand but it did nothing to stop him.

On the other hand, Jin-Woo twirled the pole quite easily over his palm, and just as the Stone Soldier was about to smash its shield on him, Jin-Woo pointed the butt of the bo staff in his adversary's direction before increasing its size.

**THUMBBB**

The bo staff struck the stone warrior hard enough to send it a few meters away, which was enough for Jin-Woo to launch himself toward it.

However, before he could bring his heavy staff down the enemy, another axe advanced toward him from the left.

'Shit!' Mid-air, Jin-Woo didn't have another option than to cross his arms and withstand the blow.

However, just as the axe was about to hit him, the stone soldier disappeared into thin air, leaving not even dust behind.

Both Jin-Woo and the Architect turned to look in the direction from where the strange yet ominous magical energy was radiating, only to find a teenage boy lazily levitating in the air.

"Continue, Sunbae. I got your back."

A/N:- The first three episode of Solo Leveling just came out. I am impressed, to say the least. I loved the fact that they didn't censor the blood and gore. And also, the animation seemed 9/10.

(Jinah and Cha looked sooo gooood)

Anyway, about the ending of this fiction. Well, there are still like thirty or so chapters remaining and if you think Haru would breeze through the final battle, then you are wrong. Oh boy, the ending would be dramatic and majestic.
