Chapter 112- Fourth Floor: Execution

[Time remaining: 50 minutes 23 seconds]

The battle has continued for more than eight minutes.

The two contenders involved in the battle to claim each other's life came to a sudden pause.

Haru was far from the most combat-oriented individual and he has practiced his sword skills the least after reincarnation. In a pure sword fight, he knew he would lose to Cha Hae-In. It was the secret sword arts that made up for the lack of talent.

However, being on a toll already Haru couldn't use much of his abilities as of now. He surely has astronomical stamina but the battle he was facing at the moment was far more taxing than any of those he had come across until now.

None of those dangers had the capability of ceasing his existence. However, things are different now. He didn't possess his Infinity and his spells were out of the question.

'Haah...haha...this guy...sure...loves to battle....' Staring at the demon with a big grin on his face, Haru inwardly sighed.

The lust of battle in this particular inhumane was so vivid, that being in his presence made his blood rush and urged Haru to pick his sword.

Akaza has received only two blows from Haru's sword until now—those two which Haru inflicted initially. After that, Akaza has been careful to not get in contact with the accursed sword.

Haru was still unclear on the principle through which the demon was aging so rapidly, but until it helped to deal with the Upper Moon, Haru would welcome it with open arms.

"What happened, human? Tired already?!" Akaza created two air canons in his both palms before he launched into the air and leaped toward his prey in an arc.

Haru held his blade with both hands and began creating sudden vibrations through his whole body and channeled it to his blade. The technique that he was using comes under the sixth secret sword art named—Dokuga No Tachi.

Just the moment Akaza was about to strike the air canons right in the middle of his chest, Haru's figure faded—making Akaza momentarily shocked, before he felt a numbing sensation from his left.

Akaza scowled and lifted his leg and struck it right in the middle of his torso—only to find that it was just an afterimage as well.

Utilizing his Compass Needle, he sensed from where Haru was approaching before he thoughtlessly raised his elbow and struck it to his behind.

"Kuh!" Haru's eyes widened and some blood spat out of his agape mouth as he incurred the damage right at the spot where his heart was located.

"Ho~so you got some sneaky skills eh?" Akaza admired strong people, and by far, this human has been a worthy opponent to risk his life.

Akaza waltzed toward the human with his left heel raised before striking him in the solar plexus—throwing Haru off his feet.

Akaza seized the opportunity before lunging in the air and his fists coated with intense strength that can slaughter any human it comes in contact with.

Haru saw the incoming danger before he rolled away—hearing ear-numbing destruction erupting from the very spot he was a moment ago.

**DHAAK**

A small crater formed where Akaza landed his strike before he grinned and followed the human.

Haru reestablished himself before directing his sword toward the incoming Demon. He anticipated where Akaza would end up in the next moment and slashed his blade vertically.

Akaza sensed the incoming danger before he tilted his body just a breath away from the accursed blade and slashed his slanted palm toward Haru's neck.

Haru expected such a dodge and counter before he smirked and dropped the weapon and held Akaza's advancing arm.

"Huh?" Akaza frowned with thick veins protruding from his head as he felt the same foul energy seeping into his body through physical contact with the human.

'So it wasn't the weapon.' Akaza concluded before he formed a claw of his palm and held Haru's back of his neck using the same arm, Haru had in captive.

Haru was taken aback since he expected Akaza to pull away; not to counter.

Akaza clenched his claw and heard an audible crunch from the boy's neck.

Akaza waited for a moment and saw the human's hold on his arm loosening.

"Is that it?" Akaza taunted as he saw the human falling forward.

Haru's breathing was shallow and his eyes entirely turned white after he lost the connection with his brain stem.

Akaza thought that the battle concluded with that as he let go of the human and decided to retreat from now. The sun was about to rise and his flesh had decayed beyond repair from various corners.

However, just as he stepped aside, expecting the human to fall flat on the ground, the human surprisingly held his posture with his head hanging low.

Akaza's eyes widened when he felt his vision suddenly dropping...or more like his head was falling toward the ground!

"When....?" The Upper Moon was unable to discern when the human slashed his neck when he was supposed to be dead by now?

Akaza never felt the intent of the human wavering nor his hands moved while Akaza was in close contact.

'This can't be the end! This can't be!' Akaza gritted his teeth before holding his head with his arms.

Placing it back in the middle of his shoulders he tried re-attaching the head. However, the decaying effect of the blade was making it difficult for the Upper Moon to use his regeneration.

Amidst such an unfavorable situation for the Demon, Haru suddenly raised his weapon and held it at the side of his waist.

His aura suddenly made the air tremble and the ground beneath the human began to shudder under the fierce aura radiating from the swordsman.

Even Kyojuro had an alarming reaction as he reflexively got in front of Tanjiro to protect the young man from what was about to come.

Akaza was frozen at the dazzling display of fierce determination and overwhelming blood lust.

Under varying gazes from the people around, some words escaped Haru's lips before he moved.

Akaza's field of vision turned entirely white as he saw the incoming doom in the form of a demon, enshrouding the swordsman.

Akaza had never seen something so terrifying yet thrilling before as he marveled at the sight his eyes were greeted with.

Just a breath away from his ultimate demise, Akaza's eyes caught the figure of a young woman looking at him with a smiling face.

'K-Koyuki...'

That day, the Upper Moon Three of the twelve Kizuki met his demise...only to find happiness in the afterlife.
