Demon Serve

At the center of the city square stands a woman that Samael vaguely remembers seeing in the midst of the crowd of people chasing him earlier. But instead of the same appearance as before, the woman has evidently changed.

Now her eyes turned completely red which is similar to the color of the Imps.

On top of the unnature red blazing eyes that replaced her human eyes, her fingernails also elongated and turns into sharp claws that are now gripping the neck of a man that struggles to break free from her grasp.

Samael watches as the woman lifted the man from the ground and bare her sharp fangs.

The woman had been human once, but now she was something else entirely. Her sharp features seemed to defy all logic and explanation, moving in a way that was incomprehensible. On top of that, her eyes bear none of the humanity they once did.

She was no longer bound to human limitations, everything about her spoke a demon.

Confirming the fact that she has already turned into a demon, the woman ruthlessly disregarded the man's plead and drove her claws into his chest. Without a hint of hesitation in her eyes, she tore his body apart in a shocking display of brutality.

Gruesome blood creates an arc in the air before smearing all over the ground.

Followed by the kill that she did, the woman hunch her back before glaring around in search of the next prey. Inside her mind was nothing more than the intense lust for killing, she can't think of any other than that.

But as this keeps on going, Samael was completely dazed as a question appears in his head.

'I-Is this my fault...?' Samael asked himself in a trance.

No matter how much he wanted to deny it, the only plausible explanation as to why the woman had been possessed seemed to be linked back to him. Samael can ignore the fact that the coincidence is too much, it was right after he failed the Situational Quest that this incident occurred.

Just then, a notification from the Anti-System appeared in his vision.

[Upon failing the Situational Quest, the reward was given to the person associated directly with the quest. The rewards would strengthen the person as they would if the anti-host has finished the quest, but the Anti-Experience is saturated with intense demonic energy. This power can twist one's mind into demonic insanity and transform them into Demon Serves]

With the notification from the Anti-System, the situation has now become clear.

It turns out that what he feared the most was right, this was caused by him who didn't finish the Situational Quest. The woman that was unfortunate enough to gain the reward has now turned into a Demon Serve.

From the Anti-System explanation earlier, the Anti-Level measures his demonic prowess.

Only through Anti-Experience can the Anti-Level be increased, and thus he should've expected that the Anti-Experience contain demonic energy. But Samael fails to spot this, he even congratulates the person that gained the reward not knowing what the rewards will do to them.

Now his eyes bear witness to the consequences of a person gaining the Anti-Experience.

Even though he would probably still hesitate knowing full well that in order to finish the Situational Quest, he needs to kill all of the people chasing after him, it's still way better than this situation.

If he was required to kill about 30 people, now it has surpassed that number easily.

Samael has done a quick scan to see the bodies littered all over the ground and wouldn't find it surprising that the casualties have surpassed one hundred people, the Demon Serve is absolutely maniacal and a killing machine.

'But killing innocent people... can I really do that?' Samael doubted himself in disarray.

Just then he takes a glance at the woman who is now turned into a Demon Serve, time slowed down for a moment as he watches the woman growl at the sky with blood that smeared her mouth and arms.

No matter how evil a person is, this kind of forced killing shouldn't feel good.

'She must not want this to happen, this is way worst than killing innocent people. This is torture for her...' Samael thought, he can feel the unwillingness and sorrow inside of the woman that was forced to commit this horrendous act.

At this moment, his mind went chaotic once again as his limitation crumbles down.

Reality has found a way to surprise him again and also proven him to still be weak once again, he's not strong enough to actually resolve himself. But then, he snapped out of his daze when he heard a high-pitched scream of terror.

Gazing up, his pupils dilated seeing the Demon Serve fixed her eyes onto a young girl.

Samael was completely troubled when he saw a young girl hugging a doll crying at the sight of the murderous Demon Serve, his body then reacted quickly when he saw the Demon Serve lunge at the young girl.

The Demon Serve makes no distinction for its victim, every living thing is a willing prey.

A child who is clearly no older than five looked the same as a regular man in the Demon Serve's perspective, and so does a woman or even an elderly. Something that is entirely created to do an evil act and brings terror to everyone around it.

Swoosh!

In the nick of time before the Demon Serve's claws reach the girl, Samael intercepts.

Not wanting to let this Demon Serve that was created by him reach the innocent girl, Samael tackles the Demon Serve and the two of them crash to the side before quickly recovering to their knees.

Samael and the Demon Serve's eyes locked onto each other, emitting the same fierceness.

Even though he knows that the Demon Serve has no shred of humanity left, he can't help but hope that she can still be recovered. It hasn't been that long, there's still a glimmer of hope of her returning back to normal.

"Stop this! You're not a Demon, remember who you are!! You're a human!" Samael exclaimed.

Instead of heeding Samael's words, the Demon Serve began to crawl to the side on all fours like a beast. It carefully moved to the right and kept an unblinking gaze at Samael. Clearly, she was scared of him and had no intention of engaging in battle with him.

Upon seeing this, Samael gritted his teeth, "I command you to stop! Stop this killing!"

As there's a visible sight of the Demon Serve being influenced by his presence, Samael decided to command the Demon Serve in to hope that it would listen to him. But contrary to his expectation, the Demon Serve grins maniacally.

Without even pausing, it lunges back at the young girl on the side that is frozen in place.

"STOP!" Samael shouted in a hurry.

Just as he was about to tackle the Demon Serve once again, he stumbled and fell to his knees. Looking to the ground he finds that he slipped into a pool of blood that he didn't realize he was standing on. This threw off his timing, and he knew he wouldn't be able to get to the Demon Serve in time.

Clenching his jaw, he glared at the Demon Serve who is already nearing the young girl.

Right at this moment, Samael's mind was working at full capacity as he was trying to find something to stop the Demon Serve's momentum. But then his eyes widened, remembering a skill that he has from the Father of Darkness' blessing.

It was the Gate of the Unholy skill which allows him to summon a demon.

Samael decided to use that as there was no other choice that he has right now to stop the Demon Serve, "Anti-System! How do I use the Gate of the Unholy!" he shouted out loud, expressing the emotions he was feeling right now.

[Please select the Demon to summon!]

-> Demon Imp - Level 1

Out of nowhere, an interface opened which shows only one option.

Without wasting any second, Samael picks the only option before he reaches out his arm. Just then, a line of chant appeared in his vision that he will need to say in order to use the Gate of the Unholy unique skill that he has.

"Egress from the Underworld, Demon Imp!"

Immediately after that, a portal that looked exactly like the hellish portal that leads to the Ruin of the Underworld appeared on the side of the charging Demon Serve. From it emerges a Demon Imp, pushing its body out into the physical realm.

Menacing growls escape its mouth, and its red eyes are filled with malice.

Upon seeing the Demon Imp coming out of the portal, Samael then shouted in a commanding tone remembering that the Demon that he summoned will be obedient, "Stop the Demon Serve right now! Don't let it reach the girl!"

Recognizing the master, the Demon Imp flaps its wing and heads to the Demon Serve.

But the Demon Serve's claws were only an inch away from reaching the young girl, the grin on her face is already spreading wider as it was certain that it was able to reach the young girl first before anything.

Slash!

Crash!

With a powerful force, the Demon Imp clawed the Demon Serve right on her head.

A gruesome claw mark spreads across its face as it growled in pain.

Not intending to stop there, the Demon Serve scrambled to its feet and then launched itself at the Demon Imp in a raging charge. The two engage in a fearsome fight, with their claws clashing repeatedly, causing sparks to fly in all directions.

From the looks of it, the Demon Serve and the Demon Imps are about equal to each other.

It looks that way at first but the Demon Imps can be seen slowly being overpowered by the Demon Serve, the nimbleness of the Demon Serve beat the sharp claws and tail of the Demon Imps.

While this is all happening, Samael was still kneeling on the ground with shock all over his face.

Looking in the direction of the young girl, he finds her lying on the ground with blood wetting the area around her stomach. Even though the Demon Imp tries to get there as soon as possible, it was still too late.

Samael is now looking directly at the dead young girl on the ground.

As of this moment, Samael can hear his own heartbeat quickening inside his ears vividly.

Deg...

[The anti-host's insanity is increasing due to the circumstance]

Deg...

Once his mind fully processed what had transpired, an intense rage began to build within him. As if a switch has been turned, his eyes shifted and changed, giving off a far different vibe than before. Purple flames seemed to leer out of his gaze, burning with demonic fire.

With immediate effect, his mind completely turned blank.
