“I’m trying to stop you.” Vajra told her, reaching to take her hands again and feeling the shake in them. “I’m trying to get you to hear me, but you don’t seem to want to listen.” He leaned in, trying to get closer, but not close enough to threaten her. Driven by the bond and the strange darkness that welled up and tried to force him even closer. “I want to get to know you Ardala, I want to discover what you want and what you need outside of that part of your head that says you aren’t worth anything.”
“I-“ she started and he felt the assertion coming that she wasn’t worth anything.
“Ardala, I need you to hear me, really try and listen to me when I say this.” He got right down to her ear, leaning in until she lurched backwards. “Listen to me when I say this. I want to get to know you. I want you to want something that isn’t to disappear because you deserve to want things.”
