Ishaan fought with himself standing there in the doorway to his spare room. He shouldn’t be here, he should go to his own bed and leave her in peace but her need and arousal pounded at the back of his head along with her fear and weariness. They pulled at him, were exhausting in their intensity and he couldn’t just let it be. Surely he could offer her something, some small comfort. She’d said it was permissible to find release and while he wasn’t a member of the Flight, maybe he could offer to help her so that she could go to sleep and actually get some rest.
“Carina, will you let me help you?” He practically whispered the words as she stood there. One half of her yearned towards him and the other half was desperately trying to cling to the Soul of the Flight. “I can feel you and all I want to do is help.”
