“I would be surprised if you had.” Naerin said, pushing open the door to his cabin. On the table there was a pale flower casting luminous shadows on the walls. “It is a sacred flower of the court, and it is said that the souls of the departed rest in them until they are released at the memorial ceremony.” Naerin shrugged and picked up the flower almost reverently. “I cannot see Naessa resting, she was constantly on the move but perhaps she has found a measure of peace in the quora.”

“I hope so,” Siana almost reached out to touch the flower. It almost looked like one of the flowers that grew on lily pads. It had the same cupped and curled petals, like it was holding something or keeping a secret. “It’s a beautiful flower, I just wish it didn’t represent something so sad.”
