The Tides Turn

Liu Zhihao's eyes widened as he realized that the person standing in front of him was no other than his own father.

"Liu Zhihao, I'm disappointed in you," his father said with a cold expression on his face. "I didn't expect my own son to betray me like this."

Liu Zhihao's heart was racing as he tried to process the situation. He had never expected to be caught so soon, especially by his own father.

"Father, I can explain," Liu Zhihao stammered, but his father cut him off.

"There is nothing to explain," his father said, his voice full of anger. "You have been working with the enemy, selling our secrets to them for your own gain."

Liu Zhihao felt a lump form in his throat as he tried to deny his father's accusations, but he knew it was futile. He had been caught red-handed.

"Father, please listen to me," Liu Zhihao pleaded. "I had no other choice. They threatened to kill me if I didn't cooperate."

His father's expression softened slightly, but only for a moment. "I find that hard to believe," he said. "But even if it were true, you should have known better than to betray your own family."

Liu Zhihao hung his head in shame. He knew that what he had done was unforgivable, but he had no idea how to make it right.

"Father, what will happen to me now?" Liu Zhihao asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

His father's eyes narrowed. "You will be punished, of course," he said. "But not before you tell us everything you know about the enemy's plans."

Liu Zhihao nodded, knowing that he had no other choice. He had to make things right, even if it meant betraying his former allies.

And so, Liu Zhihao began to spill everything he knew about the enemy's plans, hoping that it would be enough to earn his father's forgiveness. But deep down, he knew that he would never be able to forgive himself for what he had done.
