Drawing Poster

Idol Research Club.

After arriving at the clubroom, Homura glanced around.

"How does it look?" Nico beamed with pride. "My amazing clubroom! You must be amazed right?"

"I've been here before though..." Homura replied casually.

Upon hearing that, Nico froze for a moment.

"How do you think I drew this clubroom in the manga?" Homura shrugged casually.

With that, Yazawa Nico was defeated.

After another sweep of the room, Homura couldn't help but comment. "Don't you guys feel like something's missing?"

"Nonsense. I've collected all the merchandise from famous school idols." Nico retorted.

"That's right, Nico-chan is amazing. I've never seen anyone besides her collect everything like this." Hanayo chimed in.

Hearing their words, Homura rolled his eyes.

"Are you guys serious? There's definitely something missing here!"

Listening to his somewhat earnest words, nine of Muse's girls exchanged puzzled looks.

Something missing?

Matters related to idols, besides Nico and Hanayo, weren't quite clear to the others. Yet, even Nico and Hanayo, who were idol maniacs, couldn't figure it out.

Seeing their confusion, Homura extended a finger, pointing at them.

"You... Muse."

In an instant, the entire clubroom fell silent.

But after a moment—

""Ahhh!""

Except for Eli and Nozomi, all the girls screamed.

"That's right!" Nico clutched her head, a look of shaken realization on her face. "We're a well-known school idol group now! Heck, this is the biggest mistake of my life since I was born!"

"Because it's us, we subconsciously overlooked it!" Hanayo suddenly had a revelation.

"But..." Kotori hesitated. "I don't think I've seen any Muse merchandise in Akihabara..."

Nico and Hanayo turned ashen!

"Could it be that we're not as famous as we thought?" Honoka couldn't help but say dejectedly.

"Ahem, ahem!"

Homura coughed and decided to speak up; otherwise, they might start questioning life itself.

"It's because of me..."

*Swish!*

Homura felt like he was being stared down by a pack of wolves!

"Because of my manga, there's a copyright issue."

Homura explained matter-of-factly.

"You know, school idols also have image rights, but the thing is, other idols aren't too concerned about someone privately selling merchandise about them since it helped them become more well-known, so it works in their favor."

"In reality, it doesn't matter if they care or not, since their schools won't allow them to profit in this way; so they can only watch as merchandise about them is sold without their permission."

"But you girls are different..." Homura smiled. "Because of my manga, anyone selling merchandise of Muse without permission would be infringing on my manga's copyright, so no one dares to do it."

With his explanation, the girls finally understood.

"Then, what should we do? Do we need to make our own merchandise? But I don't think the school would allow it..." Kotori said, her voice getting quieter.

She understood that her mother wouldn't approve of her doing such a thing.

"As long as you all agree, I've already entrusted the matter to my family." Homura continued. "You can receive half of the pure profit, but... don't be alarmed by the numbers though. Due to the nature of school idols, the sales won't be that high, and even if they were, they won't go directly to you. It'll go to your guardians."

Upon hearing that, the nine girls had surprised expressions on their faces.

"Why are you all so surprised?" Homura shrugged. "As I said, it's not much, and even if it were, it wouldn't end up in your hands but to your guardians."

With that, the nine girls felt more at ease.

"By the way, how about I help you hand-draw a poster?" Homura considered for a moment and then said. "Do you have suitable paper?"

"We do!" Nico quickly sprang into action, climbed a shelf, and retrieved a paper tube.

'She really was prepared, and judging by the length of the paper tube, it's going to be quite big when unfolded.' Homura thought as he looked at it.

*Snap!*

Nico placed it on the long table, and to Homura's surprise, the length of the paper tube matched one side of the table perfectly.

As Nico directed everyone to spread it out, it completely covered the entire tabletop.

Seeing this, Homura could only smile wryly.

"So, you had it ready in advance..."

Hearing his words, Nico chuckled.

With paper that perfectly fit the table, it was hard to believe it wasn't prepared in advance.

"Alright! I have a task for you!" Homura said seriously. "Flatten it out so it's easier for me to draw."

Soon, the ten of them gathered around the table, and the nine girls stayed still, holding the paper.

In this situation, Homura began his first large-scale artwork.

===

Homura didn't draw anything particularly special, as he just depicted Muse's girls in their school uniforms. However, the smiles on their faces and their closeness to each other were all beautifully captured.

As all the girls watched the entire process, it felt like they were looking at a giant photograph.

Every detail was faithfully reproduced.

Looking at themselves in the drawing was truly an enchanting feeling.

"Ahh, it's so wonderful..." Kotori gazed at the massive artwork, sounding satisfied.

"It is indeed beautiful but... since it's done, can I let go now?" Maki looked helpless.

Homura had been drawing for half an hour, and they had been pressing the paper down for just as long.

"But if we let go, won't it roll up again?" Hanayo hesitated. "I can't hold on any longer... my arm is getting sore..."

"Let's all let go." Eli chimed in. "After all, it's going to roll up anyway because it's too big."

"Okay, let's just roll it up, but gently." Nico suggested. "I'll get it mounted later, so I don't want it to be damaged."

"Wait!" Honoka intervened. "Homura-kun, can you sign it?"

Upon hearing that, the others were momentarily surprised before smiling slightly and looking at Homura expectantly.

Seeing them like this, Homura smiled and wrote the words 'Minamiya's Hand-Drawn, Presented to Muse' in the lower right corner.

Nico instantly became excited.

"Adding a signature makes all the difference! We need to get it mounted as soon as possible!"

Fearing they might damage it, they carefully rolled up the paper and then sealed it in packaging. Only then did they relax.

Watched their expressions, Homura suddenly remembered how they looked slightly awkward when he drew the manga on the rooftop earlier.

"Speaking of Love Live, have you all sorted out your school grade?" Homura asked curiously.

As soon as he asked that, Honoka and Nico froze, while Rin seemed a bit awkward.

Seeing this, the gaze of the others focused on Honoka and Nico.

'As I thought...'

Judging by their expressions, Homura understood.

In that case, for the sake of efficiency, it was time for another mini-lesson with Minamiya-sensei!
