The Red Lands (1)

This large dragonfly flew very fast as it zoomed past Caius and slowly landed on the surface of the river, touching it so lightly that it did not make even the slightest ripple.

If Venera had seen something like this, she would have run away as quickly as her little feet could get her. After all, the little girl really dislikes insects, especially gigantic ones like these. Seeing them from afar is fine, but getting close to them is not. The latter one—getting close to them—is a whole other story for her.

Caius stepped closer to the small river and looked down. The water in the river was very clear, but he was not deceived by its appearance.
