Expedition

"Welcome sir, I'm the armory's administrator. How can I help you?"

Coming out of his stupor, Brandon looked at the administrator. "Good morning, I'm looking at the equipment currently in place, is there anything that distinguishes it from the others?"

With a smile as if she was expecting this, the girl responded. "From the equipment you're carrying, I can deduce that this is your first time in the wasteland. I can proudly say that our equipment is the best in the whole city. Unlike the other equipment, our gear is imbued with the miasma of the wastelands."

As she finished speaking, there was an air of pride and satisfaction in her voice. Brandon could only deny this, but not in the wrong way.

"Show me the goods you have."

The girl nodded and began to give Brandon an explanation of the equipment contained in the store. As he had a dual identity, he opted to buy more weapons than the last time. He bought 2 magical pistols, a multi-shot bow, two pairs of swords, and a spear.

His preferred weapons were the ones he could use at medium and short distances, as well as the scythe and the lance. Previously he couldn't obtain them, so he used swords.

With his new equipment, he would use his lance and pistols as Brandon while his bow, crossbow, and swords as the devil.

He bought a new set of magical clothes, equally solving his clothing problem. He bought the same black clothes but stronger, in addition to containing red edges on his hood.

For his clothes as Brandon, he bought blue shorts and white t-shirts along with sandals.

The clerk was surprised, as it was unusual to see someone going hunting with that style of clothing, but then dismissed the idea because he had bought another set of clothes.

'Most likely he will use it to rest,' she thought.

Brandon entered the lobby and then changed his clothes. He wouldn't waste the equipment he bought from the old dwarf. He thought about returning it when he met him again.

He left the lobby and, upon leaving, found another person inside the store looking in his direction. "Are you Mr. Brandon?" asked a dragon man.

"I am, and you are?" He didn't know why this dragon suddenly came looking for him.

The dragon looked at him and then looked at his wrist, which did not escape Brandon's sight. Luckily, he had bought a bracelet to cover his wrist beforehand.

"Let me introduce myself; I'm Druwn. I belong to the dragon's awakening group. We were informed that someone would join us and they were in the armory, so I came to see who the person joining us was."

Brandon just nodded and then looked at the employee. He took money out of his storage space and paid the assistant. All the equipment came to a total of 15,800 SC.

Finishing this, he looked back at Druwn and shook his hand. "I'm Brandon. I hope we cooperate for a while."

Druwn shook his hand and then both walked to a secluded part of the building. In a corner were a group of races gathered.

There was a dwarf, two elves of different sexes, and a panda. Suddenly a fifth person appeared. He was a chameleon-type beast man. 'How cool,' thought Brandon.

"Alright, guys, this is the person who will accompany us on our expedition today. His name is Brandon." The others in the group looked at him and didn't pay attention.

"Spare them, they are a bit proud" Druwn Said.

The group left the place and walked towards the back exit of the shelter.

"Are you planning on going with that outfit? Throughout the whole way, I thought you had some ability to summon your clothes," the elf who was looking at Brandon spoke up.

Brandon looked at him without saying a word, nodded at the elf, and then looked forward again.

Although his new clothes didn't cover much, they released a small invisible field that covered those areas. However, it could only be used in necessary moments to avoid spending the energy contained in the clothes.

The group continued walking for a while without encountering any creatures. None of the people found this strange, so Brandon didn't ask.

A while later, they all became alert as they walked.

*jijijijiji*

A group of hyenas appeared while making their typical identifying laugh. It didn't take them long to attack, so the group formed a circular formation.

The hyenas started jumping wildly while pouncing to bite. Brandon could notice a red aura coming out of the beasts' bodies. 'Miasma' was the only thing he could deduce.

Coming out of his thoughts, he summoned his spear and, doing a somersault, attacked horizontally.

A group of hyenas was thrown back while others continued attacking. He wanted to act on his own, but he remembered that he would have to pay compensation if he damaged the group.

His strength was enough to fight against second-grade middle-level beasts, so he kept attacking while blood spread everywhere. Meat, blood, and a beast killing other beasts were what could be seen.

The group was surprised by the strength of this human. Although humans were not weak, only a few had such power, and they were all famous. He continued to take basic-level beasts with him without stopping his massacre while taking his time to kill a middle-level beast. 'If I used my thunder power, it would be great. I need to gain another offensive power soon,' he thought.

The hyenas were eliminated in a short time, so the group approached Brandon but still with caution.

"I didn't know you had so much strength while being so young. You must be almost ascending to have such power," Drwun replied.

And he was right that Brandon was halfway to reaching the upper limit required to ascend.

Druwn walked towards each corpse and used a space ring to collect the bodies and then divide the profits later. The group continued hunting more until they decided to conclude the day's hunt.

Many tried to approach and get to know Brandon after seeing his display of strength in the other hunts.

"Hey, how about officially joining our group?" Drwun asked, trying to attract Brandon.

Brandon shook his head at his suggestion. "Sorry, but I usually move alone. I just wanted to test the waters within these lands."

After the hunt he had, he calculated his current strength. He could fight against second-grade mid-level beasts using his ocular power. But if they went into a frenzy, it would be very difficult for him to take them down alone.

"Hump, you're given a great opportunity and you waste it. You're truly a waste," barked the elf.

Brandon looked heavily at her and began to release his energy towards her, causing the elf's body to loosen and fall to the ground in fear.

"If I'm a waste, what are you?"

Brandon hadn't killed much, but he didn't need to. He used his struggles and hatred to feed his aura and affect her.

The other elf tried to speak, but Drwun intervened. "Don't do anything. The kid is right. Diana underestimated and insulted him but he wasn't disrespectful."

Turning to look at Brandon, he said, "I'm sorry about what happened. I promise it won't happen again."

Feeling good about Drwun's words, he simply nodded and indicated that they should leave.

Drwun walked ahead as everyone else followed him and began their journey back to the shelter.
