Invitation

A week later...

*** Dragna Shelter ***

Brandon had been hunting for the rest of the week, after having more encounters with the elves.

Today, he decided to take the day off after hunting like crazy for the past week and didn't want to create the obsessive habit of having to hunt.

He even felt mentally fatigued after hunting so much. Plus, his growth was slow. So far he had saved the cores as they were corrupted.

He decided to go to the library and get some knowledge. Lately, he had felt like he was falling behind. He couldn't get new powers since he didn't know how many he could get, so he saved the spaces for the best ones.

*** Library ***

Some races were using and learning new things. Although humans had the advantage of growing faster than other races, their growth was also limited only by the power they had.

Only a few exceptions managed to surpass this limitation; still, the powerful techniques of martial arts or magic development were possessed by the superior races.

He browsed the shelves and searched for a section that caught his attention. After searching for a while, he discovered some books on blacksmithing and some other occupations.

He didn't find anything that interested him, so he decided to take the book and read it. Knowledge was never a bad thing.

He spent about 5 hours reading all the books until he finished reading them thoroughly.

Ding!

[Knowledge obtained about artifact creation]

[New option added to the Digitizer ability].

The power began to work on Brandon as the knowledge integrated as if he knew it a long time ago.

It seems that this power is not limited only to electronic equipment. If I get some requirements, I can get a new ability, he thought.

Only these abilities were rooted in his central core and not new abilities of a single core.

He opened his database, and there was a new ability.

DIGITIZER - (Interface Screen, Program, Create(1))

The 'create' option had a 1 in quotes, so he tapped on the interface.

Create - (Artifact, Equipment, Blueprint(0))

Looking at the options, he further investigated its functions. He discovered that he could manufacture armor simply by sacrificing some cores and bodies.

If he had a blueprint, the equipment or artifact could be obtained immediately.

If he didn't, it would take him 6 hours to create equipment using his energy.

He wanted to try out what a suit created by his ability would look like, so he decided to sacrifice some bodies he had saved.

He used the body of a second-grade medium-level bat that he hunted with the group and hadn't sold yet.

He gave the details of the equipment and let his power act. He lost more than 200 energy at once, but he already knew it would happen because he needed his power.

It hurt to sacrifice the medium-level crystals; still, he took out 3 bat crystals and offered them.

[Materials collected]

[Starting material conversion]

[Estimated time - 6:00 hours]

He let his power finish the creation while he focused on other things.

Others would think that he relied too much on his ability. While he thought differently. The power only had the option to lighten what it could do. He could feel the entire creation process and even the necessary knowledge for it.

He left the shop while thinking about going to the demon shop that sold him the equipment.

Inside the library, a person emerged from the bookshelves and looked towards where Brandon left.

He picked up a round object and sent a message. "Target found."

Brandon, on his part, didn't know that someone was following him. He was too focused on learning about his ability and putting it into use.

"Good morning, sir... I hope you liked our equipment. How can I assist you this time?"

Satisfied with the welcome, he didn't beat around the bush and explained what he was going to do. "I have come this time to find out if you have any equipment and artifact blueprints for sale."

"If you want a customized equipment, we can make it, sir, so you don't need to bring these blueprints to someone else," the girl insisted.

"I don't think you understand. I need them for myself," he replied.

The girl wanted to ask something, but Brandon's expression made her tilt her head forward and step back. Then she brought a stack of blueprints and showed them to him. Obviously, she wouldn't show the store's exclusive blueprints.

Brandon skimmed through the blueprints one by one and decided to buy some after analyzing and understanding them.

[You have acquired Magic Pistol Blueprint] [You have acquired Magic Pistol Blueprint]

[You have acquired Magic Pistol Blueprint]

[You have acquired the blueprint for Demon Pants]

[You have acquired the blueprint for Demon Shirt]

[You have acquired The blueprint for Infernal Boots].

...

With all this knowledge, he decided to wait for a few hours and produce one of the blueprints to see the difference between what was created by the blueprints and what was created by himself.

He left the store, and without warning, his senses were activated, so he jumped, moving away from where he was.

"Who has the guts to make a mess on dragon property?"

His senses were still alert for some reason. He didn't think it was random since it always helped him get out of difficult situations.

Looking around, he could see many races walking on the sidewalks and some on some mounts in the streets.

He concentrated his ocular power to see everything up close and in detail. Soon he saw two people looking from a blind spot that, if it weren't for his ability, he would never find.

The two people saw Brandon's gaze and how he disappeared. Both looked around alert, but Brandon was not in sight.

A cold hand was placed on both people's shoulders when a person appeared in the middle.

"Now, how are we going to make them talk?" Brandon asked. These two people were human, so they could be sent by the Moon family.

One of the two people tried to move, but his decision caused him to receive an electric shock that left him motionless.

The other person saw this and could only swallow. "We belong to the Chen family. We did not come here with bad intentions."

Brandon did not believe what these two people were saying. His senses were still active, so they were actually plotting something, or there was someone outside of them who was threatening him.

Seeing that Brandon didn't believe them, the man touched his shoulder to take something out.

Brandon's hand created an electric charge that wrapped around the guy's neck but without electrocuting him.

"Wait, wait. I'm just trying to get my emblem," he said as he took out a brooch that had the same symbol as the Chen family. A man sitting in a lotus position.

"I thought only Asians could join the Chens. Who are you?"

The other man had already gained some control over his body, he said. "We are part of the outer branch of the family. We are hybrids between Europeans and Asians."

Now he understood them and could believe them, so he loosened his power a little, but still kept them close. "What do they want?"

The same man who was shocked put his hand in a jacket sleeve, which made Brandon alert, but his concern diminished when he saw that he was taking out a letter.

"The family extends a warm invitation," said the man. Taking the letter, he didn't open it just yet. The two men still watched as Brandon didn't move, so one of them spoke up. "Can we go?"

Brandon shook his head and said, "I can only kill you now because I got what I wanted. I can't allow you to go back and give information about me."

The two individuals were frightened and looked at each other with horror.

[If the master allows me, I can try to control their cores and create a kind of control]

"Do you think you can do it?" If this was achieved, it would be another thing for his arsenal.

[The odds are 62%, I will send energy, so you have to ask them not to resist]

Brandon nodded and looked at both people. "Looks like you're in luck. I'll make a deal with you, so don't resist and don't block the passage of my energy."

The energy began to flow out of his body and into the bodies of the other two people. Without knowing what was happening, the two individuals let the energy surge and connect with their core.

[Taking control]

[5%... 10%... 45%... 89%... 100%]

[Control obtained successfully]

Smiling, Brandon looked at the people and said, "Your life is in my hands now. You can't say anything about what happened to anyone, not even about my powers. You can only say that the invitation was delivered successfully."

The first man nodded several times as he released his friend. Both of them looked towards where Brandon was, but he had already disappeared.
